“Alright boys. Here’s the pla- oh. You’re all sleeping.” It was three days later, the last night of our trip, when I heard this voice. I shot up and stared at the intruder, getting into a fighting stance, only to release it when I recognised the facial features.

“Oh. It’s just you, Taurus.” Cancer said boredly from his mat. We were all awake at this point and staring at Taurus, the rest of the Zodiac, save for Virgo, Leo, Cancer, Pisces and myself, likely wondering who the hell this was.

“Aye captain!” She mock-saluted Cancer, who let out a rare small grin, while Pisces laughed and hugged her.

“What are you doing here Taurus?” I asked cautiously. I hadn’t been getting much sleep, and if she was here, then I wasn’t sure what was going to happen.

“I’m here to complete the Zodiac and help reclaim the throne, dumbass!” She called to me cheerily. I scowled while the rest of the group laughed.

A few moments later, a campfire was rekindled and we were all seated around it while Capricorn made us some drinks. Of course, there wasn’t much to choose from, so she was just heating some water and giving it to us to warm our bellies.

“I have a plan.” Taurus broke the awkward silence with these words. We all glanced at her with different expressions; most of disbelief, some of irritation and one of attraction. You can guess who had what.

“We have to lure the Prince and Princesses over to our side. Of course, the Queen died a few years ago -” she shot me a pitied look, but I ignored it. “-, so she won’t be a problem. The only one that could be considered a problem is the Prince. He’ll need to be dealt with cautiously, so I was thinking we get him while he’s sleeping!” She grinned evilly. “After that, all we have is the King!”

“And how are we going to overthrow him?” I asked wearily. “And how are we going to get the Prince and Princesses without the King noticing?”

“Well, for the King, we can simply show him that he no longer holds the higher power; we do. He doesn’t have any special powers; with me here, all we need to do is recite the spell and we’ll gain the rights we have had for the past several millennia!” She should be a motivational speaker. “For the children, the daughters are already on our side - we know that. The Prince can be taken that night, because the daughters won’t tell a soul if we convince them not to.”

“How is Aquarius going to do anything if he’s been banished from the entire Kingdom?” Virgo spoke suddenly. A grim silence fell upon all of us as we realised that problem. However, that didn’t stop Taurus, because she grinned a moment later.

“Have any slaves quit really recently that the King didn’t know about?” She asked Cancer. He shook his head solemnly. She was quiet for another moment.

“Does he have any slaves that leave the palace to do errands for him?” Taurus asked again. Cancer thought for a moment before nodding. Taurus grinned.

“Then we’ll sneak him in disguised.”

“Um, Taurus, we-” The first Gemini, Alyssa, spoke.

“-Don’t think that’s such a-” The other Gemini, Abi, continued.

“-good idea.” They finished together. Taurus looked a bit surprised at their unison, but continued nonetheless.

“It’s a great idea! The King won’t know if it’s time for the visit again or not, so it could be the perfect timing we need!”

“Alright.” I agreed. “I’ll go with it.”
