Castiel POV:

It was another regular night in Castiel's dorm room. He studied, he ate, and slept, then he repeated it just like every other day. His roommate Sam sat quietly on his bed humming to himself what sounded liked heat of the moment by Asia before realizing it and crinkling his face up in disgust. He threw the book to the end of his bed the plopped down with a groan.

He looked deep in thought before he turned his head to his roommate with a mischievous glint in his eye that Castiel knew couldn't be good. Before Castiel knew it Sam was plopped on Castiel's bed with a huge smile on his face Castiel knew he wanted something, he didn't have to be a genius to figure that one out.

"So Cassie, since neither of us have class tomorrow and there's nothing to do tonight how about we go out with the boys?" He asked, but it was more like he was asking permission.

Cas rolled his eyes he hated that stupid nickname Sam had given him when they had first met. He set down his book and took his glasses off, pinching the bridge of his nose, an irritated tick he'd developed over the years.

"Sam your a big boy, you can go out if you want, you don't need my permission." Castiel said trying not to sound irritated, but he couldn't stand there group of "friends".

They were mostly upper class men who thought they were the shit because they about to graduate. This not only irritated Castiel but he was jealous. He was 18 years old, he should be enjoying his first year of college. He should be acting more like Sam less like some 30 year old man who doesn't know how to have fun. Sam asking him to go out made him feel even older. Sam gave his best puppy eyes, they made Castiel squirm as he tried to get away from his gaze.

"But it won't be nearly as much fun if you aren't there." Sam sadly huffed. He gazed back and Sam still begging. Castiel let out an irritated huff.

"Fine I'll go." Castiel said mildly irritated that he had yet again be coerced into having another boy's night out with Sam's friends.

He got up and stripped off his superman pj's. Sam always made fun of how he acted like a ten year old with his pajamas, but Castiel didn't care they comfortable.

He quickly threw on a black t-shirt and some white wash jeans. Not is normal attire but he figured they were probably going to a bar and he didn't want to stick out more than he was already going too. Finally he grabbed his trench coat. As it slide over his shoulders a sense of peace washed over Castiel.

It had been his father's, he had given it too him the day he left. Before the memories could completely over take him, he pushed back down into the depths of his mid as he struggled to lock them away. He pushed past Sam and into the night air, not bothering to say goodbye only saying he would meet up with them later.

He made his was through the November night. The strong winds whipped against his face keeping the tears in his eyes from falling. He didn't like thinking about his family. That's why he'd taken the scholarship from Stanford, to get as far away from his family as he could. The only family he still had was his brother Gabriel, and like Castiel didn't like talking about there family. The only thing that mattered to Gabe was Cas and his Journalism degree. Another wind lashed against Castiel's body, he pulled his trench coat closer to his body.He finally looked up taking in his surroundings. He hadn't even realized where he'd been heading.

The moon glowed brightly against the calm pond that sat before him. The full moon reflecting against the serene water made it look as if the moon had fallen to earth. Castiel then found a not so wet spot to sit in the cold grass. It made him shiver but it was calming. Even for northern California the weather was strange this year, it was colder this year than in the twenty before it. Castiel didn't know how he had sat there, but he got up and started to walk away from his peaceful spot.

When finally made it to the main street in the heart of the university town, his thoughts were interrupted by a familiar loud crowd. Castiel instantly found Gabe and Sam's friends heading into there normal bar hangout. Castiel quickly blended into the back of the group not yet noticed by everyone but Gabe.

Gabe gave his brother concerned look while Castiel mouthed later, while Gabe mouthed you bet your ass. He smiled at his brother. He'd always been vulgar unlike Castiel and it always managed to make him smile at how different he and his brother were. As he made his way into the bar he quickly started to scan the bar for Sam so he could apologize. He was stopped in his track when he saw a man and Sam making there way towards Castiel and Gabe.

Castiel tried to focus on Sam but the man next to him compelled Castiel to look at him. He looked up at his brother Gabe Castiel knew why Gabe was blushing he'd had a crush on Sam since he'd met him Castiel finally brought his attention to the mystery man.

He was about two or threes inches taller than himself. He dressed quite casually. He wore a tight black t-shirt under a casual blue short sleeve button up shirt. The black t-shirt showed off it toned chest and stomach. His abs bulged under the thin material. Then finally the mans face. His face was tan from years of work outside. He had a chiseled jaw covered in scruff from not shaving in what looked like days. Which only made him sexier. Damn it  Castiel thought to himself he shouldn't be thinking like this especially about a man he didn't even know. When they finally made there way to Castiel and Gabe, the man introduced himself as Dean.

Castiel's heart sunk even further, he knew Dean, this was the Dean, his roommate's older brother. The older brother that Sam talked about constantly. The brother that fucked anything with a vagina. Castiel was completely out of it until Gabe nudged him Dean was asking him a question. His cheeks flared red as he felt the blood rush to them.

"So Cas how old are you?" Castiel was shocked he had just meet this man and he already had a nickname for him. Castiel looked up surprised, he normally hated nicknames but this one just seemed perfect as it rolled off his tongue. Dean asked with a coarseness that Castiel could have swore hid a hopefulness. Castiel stood there trying to force his voice out as he stood there blushing.

"Eighteen." He said in a whisper, even quieter than he expected. Looking up his eyes connect with Dean's. Castiel let out a quiet gasp. Dean's eyes were even more beautiful than he first thought. They were a cross between forest moss and emeralds. While his extraordinary eyes meet Castiel's generic blue eyes.

He felt his cheeks heat up again. They stood there in awkward silence. Castiel couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't take Dean's curious stare as he looked at Castiel as if he was a science experiment gone wrong. He couldn't stand here face to face with a man he was crushing on hard to only be reject because let's face it, Dean just oozed womanizer. Castiel quickly excused himself as he forced his way through the masses of people.

Getting lost in the crowd, where he finally couldn't feel Dean's gaze but it didn't matter cause he could still feel him, he'd already fallen for the infamous Dean Winchester.
