I look from the house to gauge Stiles's reaction.
He nods before licking his lips anxiously.  "Lead the way."
I sigh in relief as we walk up the pathway to the front door. Thank god, he bought it.
I look under the rock next to it and grab the key opening it and letting him walk first. I quickly look outside to see if anybody watching before slipping into the house and shutting the door.
"Nice place."
"Just wait till you see the pool."
We walk through the living room and out the back door to the patio.
"Holy shit, this is amazing."
"Ha, thanks," I mutter walking forward. Slipping off my shoes I sit on the edge with my feet submerged in the crystal clear water
He comes and sits down next to me, feet splashing in the water.
"Do you go swimming a lot?"
"No, almost never," I answer

"Why?" I'd go swimming all the time if I had a pool this nice.
"My old homes didn't always have stuff like this."
I see him nod out of the side of my eye.
"So what do you do for fun?" I ask.
He shrugs looking around.
"Not much, usually just hang out with my friend Scott."
"What do you guys do?"
"Usually we just end up playing call of duty or practicing for lacrosse."
"That's it?" I say in a teasing matter
"What do you do in your spare time?" He says a teasing smile on his face.
"Funer shit than that. I don't think I can be friend with such a boring human."
"I'm not boring." He says splashing me with a little water.
I gasp at the coldness, not expecting it and lean forward going to splash him.
I feel pressure on my back before my body is filled with shock from the cold water.
I resurface gasping with wide eyes.
"Did you just push me into the pool," I say in shock.
"You looked like you needed a swim."  He said with a sarcastic grin and I quickly hide my smile.
"Wow, what great friend you are."
"Friend?"
"Yea, whatever just help me out," I say holding my arm out.
He leans down with his arm extended and I take a hold of it using all my weight to pull him in.
He flops into the water a screech coming from him.
I  start hysterically laughing as he stands up soaking wet with a glare on his face.
"You-you fell for the oldest trick in the-the book!" I get out clutching my stomach with laughter.
"You threw me off with all that friend stuff." He says a small smile coming to his face. I slowly stop laughing and smile without even realizing it.
"I didn't want to swim alone," I say before sinking until only my eyes were above the water.
I swim towards him before slipping past him as the last second.
"So Mia, tell me about yourself."
"Well, I'm originally from Minnesota. Lived there till I was ten moved around to over a dozen school after that."
"I've never moved."
"You're not missing much," I say resting against the pool wall.
"Why'd you go to so many schools?" He asks and I bite my lip before deciding to tell him.
"Well, the first time was because I got expelled because I smashed a teacher's car. He was an.... ass he deserved it. I got expelled went to juive got out went to a different school got into a fight with the principles daughter. Got expelled went on like that until last year one... now I'm here."
"Wow." He says  tilting his lead with a surprised look.
"What about you, ever get suspended?"
"Nope, only detention a few times."
A laugh escapes my lips as he explains why.
"Wow, so this Harris guy was a real dick."
"Yea, thank god he left."
"You said you played lacrosse?"
"Yea."
"What's that like?"
"It's okay I don't get to play much though."
I nod understanding.
"I'm getting cold you want to go inside?"
"Yea." I stand up my clothes sticking to my body as I wade out of the shallow end getting out. We walk inside and into the kitchen.
"I'll be right back," I say and he nods.
I walk down the hall in search of some towels.
As I walk past the front door I see headlights shine through the panels causing my heart to raise.
I run back to the kitchen and grab Stiles.
"We gotta go," I say I pull him to the back door.
"Wait why."
I hear the door open and people walk in.
As quietly as I can I open the door but someone speaks up.
"Hello? Is anyone in here?"
I quickly swing the door open bolting out with Stiles behind me.
I hop over the fence and turn around to see Stiles on the other side.
"Hurry," I whisper yell. He scrambles over almost getting stuck before we start running down the street, water flies off me as the warm sun beats down.
I hear sirens and I push faster b-lining into the woods.
"Mia, what the hell is going on!" He breathily exclaims.
I don't respond running further into the woods. When I finally decided were good enough I slow down stopping to lean against a tree.
I look up meeting his hard stare. Anger and confusion brush over his face before he starts talking.
"What the hell was that."
"Well, you see... people usually don't like it when you temporarily use their houses and I figured since you didn't fancy getting caught either so we ran."
"Who's house was that?"
"Why are you asking me I've only been here for a week."
His eyes widen even more and he rubs his face with his hand pacing.
Suddenly he starts laughing and I look over to him confused.
"What?"
"That... was a lot of fun."
I smile as his eyes meet mine.
"Do you a lot of stuff like that?"
"Yea, see it's fun."
(A few days later)
I climb up the tree next to his dark window slowly pushing it open making sure it doesn't creek. I roll through it silently landing. I take a seat next to his sleeping figure before laying so my face is mere inches away.
"Stiles," I say in a dreamy voice.
His face twitches and his eye move under his eyelids.
"Stiles, baby I'm here wakey, wakey."
"Mhmm Mia..." He mumbles.
"Mhhmmm Stiles." I mock and his eyes sleepily open before closing again.
In a quick second, his body goes rigid and his eyes fly open.
"There we go, up and adam." I chirp turning on the light.
He sits up. "Mia what the hell are you doing here? It's..." He turns to look at his alarm clock.
"2AM."
"Well, you can't really sneak into somewhere at noon."
The initial shock washes off his face as he pushes the covers of his body.
"Where are we going."
"The school."
"Wait why." He asks finally getting up to look for clothes. He grabs some Adidas slipping them on before grabbing a hoodie.
"To do our senior prank."
"We're not seniors."
"Oh come on, you were bitching how nothing ever happens in this town. I'm giving you a chance to have fun."
He rolls his eyes before finally grabbing his phone.
"You ready?"
He nods and I go out the way I did climbing down the tree safely landing on the ground. I look around as he climbs down.
"Shit!" He yelps and I look up to see him fall four feet from the tree.
"You okay bud?" I ask looking at his body which was rolling around on the grass in a fit of moans.
He groans again before rolling to his back.
"Just give me a second." He wheezes.
I walk away to his jeep.
"I said wait!" He whisper yells.
"Don't be such a girl you can get a minute in the car."
He mumbles something as he jogs to catch up.
As we enter the building I feel my heart race and an excited smile makes its way to my face.
"Got any particular teachers you want revenge on?"
"Mr.Harris."
"I hate the guy." I agree walking into his room.
I place my backpack on the table opening it up.
"Alright do you want to put the seeds under his keyboard and disconnect his computer or do you want to tape the air horns under his chair and behind the door?"
"I'll take the computer." He hums looking around the room.
"Do you do stuff like this a lot?" He asks ripping open the packet and grabbing the keyboard.
I turn around grabbing the air horn and duct tape before answering.
"I don't usually like to sneak into school and be here more than I already have to but once in awhile."
I take the air horn taping it in place so when he opens the door it will open.
"Move while I put this under," I say holding another can and gesturing towards his chair.
He nods standing unplugging wires and switching them around. I flip the chair over taking it down making sure it won't fall before putting it back.
"You got everything?"
He nods smiling.
"Next teacher."
"Who's next?"
"Mrs.Miller the computer teacher. We're gonna unplug all the computers and log into her computer, pick something funny to print out and stop it before it does so when she comes in it won't stop printing."
"Where do you come up with these?"
I shrug my shoulder smiling to myself.
"I don't know you just got to think of them," I reply opening the door sliding into the room.
"Alright, you start unplugging while I get on her computer."
"Cool."
I log on scrolling through some pictures before Stiles comes back standing over me looking down at the screen.
"Here let me type." He says leaning in and typing on the keyboard.
My mind comes to a stop at his close proximity. I can feel his heartbeat and his cologne fills my nose.
"Here." he says snapping me out of my fogginess.
I look at it to see a picture of her and some guy dancing looking very drunk.
"Oh my god, how did you find this?"
He laughs moving the mouse to the print button.
He turns it on and shuts the computer off.
"Help me get the last of these computers." He says looking down and I look up smiling. Who know that I and the sheriff's son would be sneaking into the school pranking teachers.
"Okay."
Once we finish with the computers I take the Febreze can  I had in my backpack and take the twisty tie tieing it around the handle. I put it behind on of the desks pulling it so it starts spraying.
We walk out the door closing it.
"It's gonna smell so strong in there." He laughs
"The computer lab will probably be off limits for 2 or 3 days.
"Alright let's go."
"Turn here," I say and he drives down the street pulling up at an old house.
He looks at me fingers tapping on the steering wheel.
"Alright, you stay here I'll be right back."
His brows furrow and he frowns.
"Wait why?"
"Trust me," I say before opening the door and hopping out.
I close it giving him a reassuring smile before walking towards the house.
Sneaking into the house would be easy but try to find a necklace in this dump was the hard part. And the even harder part was trying to do it and not wake him up.
Climbing through the window from the ledge I lowered myself onto the floor quietly flashing my light around the room taking a quick sweep. I walk around through the kitchen stepping into the living room where his sleeping figure is on the couch an empty bottle of cheap whiskey on the floor.
I move around the table quietly slipping into his room. Quietly shutting the bedroom door I go to the dresser rifling through his stuff.
I continue to look until I hear a fridge slam shut. My eyes widen as my heart starts races. I shut the cabinet and make my way to the window. I hear a loud noise, closer this time. I turn my head to see him stumble in stopping in his tracks when his eye land on me.
Confusion passes over his face before he recognizes me a snarl on his lips.
I stumble forward as I hear his feet pound against the floor.
Shoving the window open I grab hold pulling myself out before I feel a hand clamp onto my shin yanking me through back inside.
"Look who finally showed up. The little bitch thought she could sneak into my house while I was in it!" He laughs dryly, towering over my body.
I try to get away but he grabs me forcing me against the wall.
"You think you can come into my fucking house you bitch ill show you."
I gulp closing my eyes.
Somewhere the sound of a pot falling draws his attention away from me giving me enough time to knee him. Hard.
He groans, letting go of me before crumpling to the floor.
"I stare at him on the ground, my feet not willing me to move.
"Mia! Mia! What the hell is going on!" Stiles yells from the doorway.
I look up to him, my mouth agape.
Finally, I run towards him grabbing onto his flannel and pulling him out of the room towards the kitchen.
"It's not gonna be that easy!" I hear and a shot bangs out hitting the wall in front of us.
My hands start to shake as I push Stiles out the window. I hear another one this time it's closer I fumble falling out the window dropping onto the grass.
Stiles is already on his feet pulling me up and towards his jeep.
He runs towards his side quickly getting in and  stepping on the gas.
As we drive away I hear another bullet fire out.
Stiles drives for a while before ending up in a parking lot.
"I-"
"What the hell just happened Mia?" he asks harshly.
"He had a freaking gun! He was shooting at us, he could've killed us!"
"I know I"
"We could've died, you could've died," he says looking away from me to look out his window. He quickly hits the steering wheel making me jump.
"What the hell were you thinking?"
"He had something of mine, Stiles let me explain."
He looks back to me his faces showing no emotion.
Shaking his head "I can't be friends will you Mia, this went too far. My dad was right."
"No, Stiles please," I whisper feeling tears well in my eyes.
He shakes his looking down.
A silent sob racked through my body as I turned, opening the door and stepping out. I close the door before looking at him one last time.
