The cold wind made Eren shiver as he started the journey back to his house that night. His mind wondering to the moment before he left.
"Are you sure you want to?" Eren had asked the blonde bartender.
"I'll take care of Armin," the man had replied as Eren tried not to stare at his eyebrows.
Now as he started down the forest path his shoulders were tense and eyes darting everywhere. He may have been a little bit more spooked by that story then he cared to admit. He ran a hand through his hair and took a deep breath as he tried to calm his nerves.
"Just an old wives tale," he mumbled under his breath but as he walked the woods grew darker and trees bunched together causing an eerie glow from the moon to illuminate the path before him. He pulled his dark green cloak closer around himself trying to keep warm. A rustle in the bushes caused him to jump letting out a squeak. A small brown bunny hopped out of the bushes and looked at him as if to say "wimp" and lopped off. Eren smacked himself in the forehead for being so childish and heaved a sigh of relief. Suddenly though he heard the clip-clop of hooves. He fought the urge to run as he turned towards the sound. His heart sat frozen in his chest like a block of ice and his eyes grew to the size of golf balls. There in the moonlight was his worst nightmare. In front of him was a black horse with a rider perched upon it. The rider wore all black including a cape, gloves, and riding boots along with the standard shirt and pants but the thing that made Eren freeze was the head.....there wasn't one. His mouth opened in a silent scream frozen for a second as the figure pulled out a sword and began to charge. His legs finally started working again and he took off as fast as a bullet. The sound of hooves coming closer and closer. Realizing that he would never be able to outrun a horse, He searched for a clear path before darting into the woods hoping and praying that the trees and plants would slow the beast down. Relief flooded his veins as he heard the monster ride right past him.
