(I went through and edited a few past parts to make a little more sense. Including the time frame. When Timber was on house arrest it lasted about 4-5 months, putting her due date a lot closer then what it seemed before. I also put the previous fight with Hayley back two weeks, not just one day. For my current readers you may be a little confused so I decided to forewarn you lol. Hope you enjoy this chapter I know I sure did writing it.)
As things settled down I had an unusual burst of energy. I itched to go out and run, in fact my skin crawled with the need.
Stretching my body the best I could, I stood and started to walk away from Graham.
I felt a quick yank on my tail.
"Where do you think you're going."I snapped my teeth at his hand but he didn't even flinch. I faced towards the woods and whined. So many people still occupied the surrounding area. It's not like I would run at this point. There was too much at stake for that.
"Derek, Zachary." His masculine voice called out.
When they approached I sighed. Derek was one of the fastest wolves he had in his pack, the only problem was he was small and not much of a fighter.
"Would you both please accompany my mate Timber on a quick run. And make sure she doesn't over due it, her body is still trying to heal itself from yesterday's injuries."
Guess Graham still thought I was a flight risk.
"Yessir." They spoke in unison.
"Give me a few moments of your time so I can shift." Zachary started to pull his clothes off one at a time. I watched as he caught the eye of one of the few women around and winked at her.
She gave a wiley smile back, showing her white pearly teeth.
I shook my head and wandered to the edge of the forest. Derek followed close by me in human form. He must have seen me studying him because he spoke up.
"Don't worry Alpha, I can keep up in this form just as well as the other." He offered me a gentle smile. This must be one of the few people in Grahams pack that actually was alright with me.
I whined softly when I felt my child move inside my womb. It was probably very confined in there.
Whatever body you conceived in, is what your child's shape stays as until after birth. Since I conceived as a human, my pup was in its own human state all the time.
Meaning I looked big as a house in this form.
I felt a weird tightening sensation in my abdomen but I didn't think anything of it. It wasn't painful just mildly uncomfortable.
Finally after waiting what seemed like eons, Zachary had shifted and we could finally head out.
I trotted out deeper into the woods, trying to ignore the fact the two shifters ran behind me a few paces.
When I picked up on an old deer trail I began to follow it. It felt so wonderful to be back in this body. One moment I was trotting, and when the scent of the deer became stronger i increased my pace into a quick lope.
Zach gave a quick warning growl in protest. But he didn't try to stop me.
I quickened my pace to the point my breaths came in ragged pants. And after traveling a few miles the scent of blood from the animal I was tracking made my sputter to a slow walk.
I pricked my ears forward, listening intently to the sounds of the forest around me.
Zachary shoved me with his shoulder, while Derek hung back farm enough he could scout from a higher distance than us.
