As she hurtled toward me I gathered my strength
and dodged out from her leap, I heard her teeth click together as they only found air instead of my flesh.

I quickly spun my body around to face her and she lashed out towards me again. This time I stood braced for the impact. Right as she went for my throat I dropped to the ground and she flew over me, not before I slit open her sensitive flank area with my powerful jaw.

She yelped and gingerly put pressure on the injured limb when she landed. My teeth bared at her, I can at her. Though I wasn't as quick as she was I was stronger and more experienced.

As her flesh wound began to heal almost immediately she started to move normally again. I was going to have to clip her good if I wanted to continue to have the upper hand.

When she lunged at me again her teeth grazed my pelt then locked down on my shoulder, which left her open to my own jaws. I bit down on her back leg until I heard it and felt it snap under the intense pressure my teeth put on it.

Hayley loosened her grasp and then bit down again on the back of my neck. My dense fur blocking her from doing any permanent damage to my spine though shards of pain burned hot through me as he teeth sank through skin. I released her leg and tried to get a better grip else where, to even tear out her hamstring would help me win my victory.

Twisting so I threw myself onto the ground l, I broke her hold and attached my own self to the underside of her throat. Her hind claws raked into my belly and kicked hard enough to make me lose my breath. She put so much pressure on her broken hind leg I'm sure it was causing her extreme pain. I bit down harder until she couldn't breath. Until panic shown in her eyes and she began to fight my grasp to get away. Only causing more damage to herself. Her hind claws ripping into my belly even more so.

I flexed my jaws until her wind pipe closed off. Hayley's struggles grew weak until she stopped moving. When her body grew slack in defeat I let go. I ran my tongue over my muzzle, attempting to clean the remnants of Hayley's blood off.

Turning to face Graham, I held my head high even though, my stomach twisted in knots.

"STOP!" Graham roared as his gaze locked on to the wolf behind me.

Hayley had lunched towards me until the Alphas command stopped her in her tracks. He paced towards her with a furious look in his eyes.

When he got close enough to touch her, he reached down and grabbed her by the scruff. Graham jerked her up so she was forced to put her weight on her back legs.

"Hayley, I hear by vanish you from this pack and territory. Forced to travel as a lone wolf  until another pack accepts you or until you die alone. You are no longer pack."

I felt the unfamiliar connection alphas had with their pack, slip away from Hayley.

Some wolves threw their heads back and howled, whether or not they were in their human body or the animal one.

I started my shift back to my human form, nausea coursing through so I closed my eyes and tuned everything out.

As I finished shifting I noticed most of the pack had left aside from Zachary, Graham, Jack and a few others. Hayley was gone and her pack bond had faded away.

I clenched my eyes closed after I seen the damage done to my stomach. While shifting had helped edge on the healing process, the edges were still jagged, torn, and red.

Kneeling on the ground I gasped when blood started to run down my thighs. Cramps tightening my lower stomach as the dark blood slowly dropped onto the ground.

Grahams eyes glowed with anxiety as he scooped me up in his arms. Harvey, the pack doctor, and the Omega, whose name I learned was Jack stepped towards me.

I snarled at them as animal instincts kicked in. Graham tightened his grasp so I couldn't force my way out of his grip. As fast as Harvey could muster he set forth towards a vehicle parked near the edge of the gravel drive way.

Sights and scents began to overwhelm my senses as I got dizzy from the loss of blood.

"Don't just stand there Devon, set some blankets up in the living quarters, Jack get some warm water prepared and some wash cloths." His scent reassured me only slightly and I pressed my nose against his chest.

"Don't let my pup die." I begged and dug my fingers into his chest.

Harvey brought in a heart beat Doppler and Graham carried me into the pack house. setting me down on the couch that Devon had stacked with blankets, I laid my hands on my stomach. Graham sat his on top of where mine lay.

He leaned down and quietly muttered. "Hang in there little wolf." I closed my eyes as nausea ran through my body again.

Distantly I realized Harvey had smeared the cool gel on my cold body and pressed the small device against the pudge of my pregnant belly.

The fluttering sound of a rapid heart beat warmed me to the core. My child's heart sounded very strong even though blood was still flowing between my legs.

Jack, the omega brought in a big kitchen bowl filled with water and a damp clothe. When he began to wipe the mess off of me Graham snarled while Jack exposed his neck.

Harvey switched to a different machine, one that had a screen he could see my little baby with. He frowned and looked at Graham.

"Her placenta has slightly detached. It's not terrible, I've seen worse cases where the baby wouldn't be able to survive but it seems like her body healed itself well enough that you're not going to have that problem.... for now that is. Bed rest is a must. Too much strain can detach the placenta and at this point, while you're baby is growing at an alarmingly fast rate, the child wouldn't be able to survive outside the womb."

Graham started down at the angry red slashes on my belly with a look of disgust.

"This is all because of Hayley." Graham shook his head.

"I will endanger my family no more. Zachary..."
Zach the beta stepped forward.
"Call a pack meeting for two weeks from now. We need to start a Howl. There's going to be some changes with how things are being handled right now."
