After some uncomfortable probing by Helen, the witch, she pulled Graham out of the room.
Sweat made my hair mat against my skin. I curled on my side as another wave took me. Clenching my eyes shut I called out for Graham. I needed him to lay beside me and make the comforting noise he did so well.
"Baby." Graham entered back into our bedroom.
"Our baby is breech. Helen said she doesn't have time to turn it around. Your about 5 cm dilated. This is going to be difficult little wolf... but your strong. I know you can do this."
Graham stroked my hair behind my ear.
"Oh god Graham. It hurts so bad." I clenched my eyes shut and bit my lip.
"Helens going to make something up for that." He laid down and pulled me flat against his warm hard chest.
"Keep me distracted...Why is a witch working with a shifter pack..." I panted out.
He nuzzled my shoulder and with gentle strokes caressed my baby belly.
"She owes the pack her life. Don't get me wrong she is an insanely powerful witch. But when she was a lot younger she ran with the wrong crowd and got herself into a bit of trouble.
"When we came to her rescue, she promised to be indebted to us. And now we have an agreement. She has mellowed down over the years and now she is very helpful. She and her two sons help clean up any pack messes we have that might be discovered by humans. And on the positive side she has some experience in the medical field, which she learned before she began practicing witch craft."
I stared at him through pain filled eyes. It hurt so much. Running my hands through his hair I gripped tightly and arched my back as a contraction hit me hard. Wetness gushed out of me and saturated the blankets that were underneath.
"Well your water broke or you just peed on our bed." He tried to say with a hint of humor. I glared at him and released my grip on his hair.
" I need to move." I scooted myself to the edge of the bed and stood up. Graham followed suit but headed towards the bathroom and came back with a fluffy towel he used to wipe the moisture from my body.
Grabbing one of his giant tshirts he slipped it over my head and arms. It hung down to my knees
" let's go downstairs real quick and see if Helen has made the elixir to help with your pain."
He lifted me into his arms as we headed towards the living room. Making sure my none of my lady bits were showing he gently carried me down the flight of stairs. When we reached the bottom he let me stand on my own.One shifter was setting on the couch until we walked in, then he got up and moved out of the way. The pack members eyes wandered up my legs.
Graham caught him staring and snarled at the wolf whose name I remembered as Thomas.
"Get out." Grahams voice was soft but deadly. His eyes the shade of his wolf's.
"Sorry alpha." The younger man took off quickly and I heard the front door slam a few moments later.
"Disrespectful whelp." He muttered under his breath and leaned over to kiss the top of my head.
I began another contraction and my legs shook with the force of this one.
"You need to set down." Graham spoke softly as he tenderly touched my stomach.
