CHAPTER ONE: MOVING DAY
*Daisy's point of view*
"HOLY HELL LIL, HURRY UP." I shouted down the long staircase. It was finally the day Lilley and I moved into our new apartment. By the time I had carried 9 boxes up to the door, Lilley was still sitting outside the car, daydreaming about who-knows-what.
"I'M COMING, CALM DOWN." She grumbled. Knowing her, she probably grabbed the smallest boxes she could find to carry.
Cursing under my breathe, I ran down the steps for the one hundreth time to bring more boxes up. Passing her in the doorway, my assumptions had been correct, Lilley was carrying the boxes that contained our socks.
"You're so lazy, ya know that?" I glared at her.
She just laughed, waving me off and walking up the steps.
The whole living-on-our-own thing was extremely exciting, and yet so completely terrifying, all at the same time. Of course, we were only a half an hour away from both of our families, but it was not the same as living with them.
As I unloaded the rest of the boxes, I let out a soft, satisfied sigh, and looked up at the aparment building. It was smaller, only having 7 other apartment rooms, not including ours, but it was cute. We had almost given up hope when we were on the search for a place. All the rooms were either way too expensive for us, or not nice enough for us. When we found this one, in Summer Day's Apartment complex, we knew it was the one we always hoped for.
I carried the last of the boxes up the stairs to find Lil waiting for me.
"Why didn't you go inside yet?" I questioned her.
"Well, I feel like we both need to go inside at the same time. Kinda like how when couples get married, the groom carries his bride over into their new house. I can be the hypothetical bride and you can be the hypothetical groom."
"Why do I have to be the groom? You're taller than me!"
"Only by two inches you loser, just open the door and carry me and then i'll bring the boxes inside."
"Fine." I agreeded. As I turned the key in the lock, and opened the door, Lilley jumped into my arms, laughing hysterically.
Almost falling over, I walked three inches inside the door, and dropped her onto the hardwood floor.
"Shit Daisy, that freaking hurt!" She glared up at me, rubbing her elbow.
"HONEY, WE'RE HOMEEEE." I shouted, with the biggest grin.
Lilley laughed, still lying on the ground. We took it all in. It was literally perfect, the way we always talked about when we were freshman in highschool. The one wall was red brick, the rest were a light coffee colored. A TV sat on a stand infront of the brick wall. On each side of the TV, were two empty bookcases that would soon hold all of our books and movies.
There was a coffee table, a couch, and two lounge chairs in the living area. The kitchen had stainless steel appliances, and a small wooden table in the middle with four chairs. A hallway led to one small bathroom, and two big enough bedrooms.
"Can we talk about how perfect this is, or?" Lilley said with a smile, standing up off the ground.
"It really is, now get to work you slacker." I teased her, flopping down onto the couch with a sarcastic smile.
Living with my best friend, a childhood dream.
