Hell or Heaven

Chapter 2

Luke told me more about my other live and how amazing I was. At the end of the little session I kissed him on the lips as a thank you kind of thing and went back down so that I could hang out with my friends for the rest of lunch. When the last class was over I went outside and waited for Luke to come out of the school. At 4th class his behavior was really weird like something had happened. I would say because of the kiss that I gave him but maybe it was something else. I wasn't sure what to do from it. When he came out of the school he looked a little worried and had scratches on his arms and half of his face I went over to him and asked him if he was ok. He shrugged his shoulders and went silently to his car. I followed him, went in the passenger's side. He put his things in the back then went in the driver's seat and drove off to Nate's house. On the way to his house he always looked left and right at every stop light he looked at the back and he drove over the speed limit to get home faster. Luke lived a little ways out of town so it took some time. All of the sudden something landed on the roof of the car with a huge thud. Luke hit the brakes and came to a screeching holt that sent something flying. He jumped out and called his sword to his hand which was almost as tall as him and very thick.

"Vivian get out of the car now!" He yells at me. I ripped of the seatbelt and to my surprise it came of very easy. I opened the door and looked on the road but nothing was there.

"Slip into the grim Vivian then you will see the reaper." Luke yells.

"But how do I do it?" I ask in a panicked voice.

"Just imagine it and then you will know how." Luke tells me in a hurried but calm voice. I concentrated then when I opened my eyes again I saw the reaper before my eyes standing on the road. I jumped back and stared up at that thing just standing there.

"Hello Preliator long time no see, I hope you didn't forget me being the one who had the nice pleasure of killing you the last time I saw you." He says to me than the memory came back into my head and I saw it.

I just stood there and looked into his dark black eyes. Then I called my swords and lit them with angelfire so that the fire could put my hate that I had for the reaper into it. I jumped up and dove for the reaper. He jumped out of the way but totally forgot that Luke was there. The reaper turned and ducked at the same time when Luke just swung his sword at him in a rage for what he did to me. I jumped of the roof charged and slashed at the reaper. The monster ducked and dove out of the way. Luke was also there helping me, he drove his sword out and hit the monster in the arm I used that moment of distraction to drive my sword thru his body and the hook at the end locked into his spine and I tore it out then with the other sword I sliced his head off. He burst into fire, then collapsed just leaving a pile of ashes behind. I cleaned the blood of my swords and let them vanish into thin air. Luke stood there just looking at me with amazement in his eyes. He let his sword vanish and came to me.

"Luke what was that thing?" I ask with a scared voice. He just looked at me and he said that it was a shadow beast that came from hell ordered by Lucifer to either catch or kill me. We went back in the car and drove off. The rest of the way was silent until we got to his house. Nate was home and he was happy when he saw me. Nate is about 6'2", has dark brown hair, red ruby eyes and a strong muscular body. He seems happy to finally see me again and even I at that moment remembered who he was and what he meant to both Luke and I.

"Hey Vivian how are you today?" He asks me as he sat down on the sofa.

"Good, School is fine and otherwise it's all good except...." I say but stopped myself.

"Except what?" Nate asks with a worried tone. In that moment Luke came back from the kitchen with two classes of water and Nate saw the scratches on Luke's arms.
