Hell or Heaven

Chapter 4

We just sat in silence for a long time. Hey Luke I finally start to say do you want to hunt reapers tonight with Markus and Tina.

"Sure lets go inside and I will call them." Luke tells me. After Luke was done phoning Markus he told me that they would be happy to hunt tonight. I nodded in approval then I took out my cell and turned it back on. I had 150 messages from Sindy. I read thru each and they always ended in "Why aren't you writing me back." I dialed her phone number and after the first ring Sindy was on the phone. "Hey Sindy it's me Vivian. Sorry but I have been a bit busy lately and couldn't take the time to charge my phone." I tell her.

"Where the hell have you been I was worried sick and on top of that you have been missing from school for two weeks?" Sindy asks in a very mad voice.

"It's good that I told the teachers that you are at Luke's house and they are wondering why you two are both not at school." Sindy adds.

"I am not feeling so well and mom is away for a week so I am at Luke's and he is taking care of me that is why we are not at school." I tell her trying to ease her mind.

"Well can I come over than to Luke's house for a while?" Sindy asks me.

"Wait I will ask him if it is ok." I tell her. I put the phone against my shoulder to make sure Sindy couldn't hear anything.

"Hey Luke can Sindy come over for a few hours just so that we can talk and I can explain to her where we have been all this time?" I ask Luke. He just shrugs his shoulders. I could tell that he didn't really care or ok it is fine with me so I told Sindy that she could come to Luke's house it is north from town.

After 10 minutes she came over. She looked surprised when she saw the house. The she saw me on the crutches and went into concerned friend mode. After we were inside and sat down on the couch she asked me how it happened. I told her that when I ran away I tripped and my ankle cracked and after I couldn't walk anymore. We talked for a long time. She told me that everyone is kind of worried that I haven't been at school for almost two weeks and that they are thinking you did something bad or even something illegal. That the teachers are always and mostly everyday asking her all different kinds of questions about where Luke and I are and if she knows anything that she should tell them. That Luke hasn't been at school either and more.

"Yah I know but I just need some time to think and to let my ankle heal." I tell her and that Luke is taking care of me while my mom is on a cruise with her sister and her new husband. After 2 hours Sindy went back home and as soon as she left Markus and Tina came flying out of the grim. I was quick enough to hide the crutches so they couldn't see them. Markus waved at me and he gave me his usual trademark of a goofy smile meaning that he was up to no good or just happy to see me again. They came inside and Luke joined us.

"So are you ready to hunt and kill some demonic beasts or vir reapers depends on what is first to come across our path?" Luke asks.

"Yah, we have seen an Orak heard rooming around in the downtown area and we want to hunt him down." Tina says to Luke.

"Then let us get going I can't wait to kill some monsters and let my anger out." I say. In that moment Nate came into the room and he wanted to talk to me about something in private. We went outside and sat down on the bench by the pond. "Since your sister decided to show herself again we have to change you into your archangel self again. If she shows up in person I mean." Nate tells me

"How do I change into my archangel form?" I ask confused.

"Well I have a book that describes it but I would need to get some ingredients for the ceremony." Nate says to me.

"Ok then you will do that?" I ask him. I went back inside got changed and we went off. We waited about an hour until we finally sensed the Orak. He jumped from roof top to roof top looking for his next prey. When the beast saw us it changed its course towards us. Luke and I summoned our swords and I lit mine up and I could see the fire bounce of the Orak's dark obsidian eyes as it came towards us. I raised my swords and got ready to attack, Luke was beside me and Markus and Tina were on my other. The Orak lifted his sword and attacked. Luke blocked the strike I went around and hit the monster from behind. It lifted its right arm and it came swinging towards me. I blocked the attack but still got flung back a bit by the monsters power. Luke and Markus were at it then the Orak swung its arm and Luke went flying towards the street. Wheels screeched to a stop and everyone looked at the boy who just fell from the house. Then Luke flung out his wings and tried to come to a soft landing so he didn't have to hit the cars below. The Orak went after him and while Luke landed on a car distracted to cover his face from all the cameras flashing the Orak went for Luke. I screamed at Luke and only then did he realize that the Orak was coming right at him. So he got ready to fight and had his swords pointed to the Orak. I looked down and I wanted to help when Markus grabbed me on my arm and stopped me.
