You closed your eyes and raised your hands to brace for the impact. However you heard a scream and noticed that the scream was from the monster that was about to strike you. You noticed that the monster's head was lit on fire and you know who could have conjured up those flames. 

"Tom ?!"

You jumped back and away from the monster who was swinging around his arms due to the flames on his head. you raised your hands and a crystal bind bounded on the monster's wrist and ankles to make sure he was immobilized. "What are you doing here ?!" You exclaimed as you quickly jumped to the side and dodge an incoming fist from the back. You however lost your footing and slipped. "Ah-!" Luckily before you fell and land on the hard ground Tom caught you in his arms.

"Woah, watch where your landing princess"

Being speechless and too flustered from how Tom suddenly caught you, you rolled out of his arms and noticing a monster behind him you raised your hand and shot a crystal rock to the monster's eye. 

"Syrup tsunami shock wave !

Hearing the blast from Star you gasped. "W-Wait !" You shouted trying to move away from the blast of sticky and syrup. However you couldn't make it in time and bumped into the Tom, the syrup landed on the two of you and you fell onto Tom's chest. You groaned and raised your arms trying to move away from Tom but instead you arm was attached to Tom's suit. You tried to move more but you could feel your arm attached to his suit. "Star, look what you did !" You cried out loud, Star walked over to both you and Tom and gulped.

"How did uh... You and Tom get stuck ?"

"Well you blasted your syrup spell all around the backyard ! but I don't know how Tom came here and why"

Tom stood up and you stumbled up with him. He grunted and tried to brush out the syrup out of his hair.

"Well I couldn't help but come here because well...I just felt the need to come here alright ?"

You tried to move away from Tom but you remained stuck. "I think we need to wash this syrup out" You noticed Star raising her wand. "...without magic"

Both you and Tom fumbled towards the bathroom. You two stumbled into the shower and you turned on the knob for the warm water to run and wash away the syrup. You sighed in relief feeling the running water and closed your eyes.

"...princess"

Your eyes shot opened and noticed Tom starring at you weirdly. "What ?". Tom raised his unstuck hand and brushed it through his wet hair. "Nothing you almost went limp earlier, I was just worried"

You could already feel your face turning red not from the warm water. "You were worried about me ?" Tom froze up and quickly cleared his throat, "N-No ! If you fell I would have fallen as well ! We're still stuck you know ?"

"Oh...right". That reply couldn't help but suddenly tug at your heart strings a little, awkwardly you looked away. Tom noticing your sudden turn of emotions felt guilty, "Are you okay ? You seemed really stressed..."

Sighing you pinched the bridge of your nose, "Yeah I've been studying all day and I just didn't seem to get enough rest lately"

"Well what subjects are you having to hard time with ?"

"Math...obviously"

"I could come and help if you want ? My father is human and he thought me all there is to know"

"Really you would so that for me ?"

"Yeah ? Why wouldn't i ?"

Gasping you quickly wrapped your arms around Tom for a hug. You couldn't help but feel so happy, you could finally catch some shut eye and focus more in class. However the awkward silence quickly snapped you out of your thoughts and you quickly stepped away from him. Tom rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed. "At least the syrup is all gone now"

You looked down towards your hands and then towards Tom's now wet suit which was clinging around his arms and chest and... You looked away to avoid Tom noticing you starring. You walked out of the shower and reached for a towel but Tom stopped you with his hand. "I can dry us both faster" A wall of fire surrounded the two of you and you couldn't help but walk to Tom. Your face bumped into his chest and you looked up. Tom starred into your eyes and you couldn't help but do the same.

Tom wrapped his arms around your waist and you tip toed slowly, the both of your faces were inches apart when Star suddenly burst into the bathroom. " Are you two done yet ?". The fire wall disappeared and both you and Tom stepped away from each other. Both of you being flustered in surprise. "Yep..."
