Chapter 5: Assassin Zabuza Momochi Arrives!

"How'd you know brat?  You obviously couldn't see me.  And I know a brat like you couldn't be able to sense chakra so well hidden."  The ninja said as he looked at me.

"Well, besides the fact that you don't know how to conceal your blood lust and you really suck at being subtle really helped.  I mean, do you honestly expect us to think there is a native bird in this nation that is solid 183 centimeters?  Honestly?"  I said getting off the ground, getting closer to Tazuna. 

"You are an iteresting kid, you are."  He sounded amused.

"Well, well.  If it isn't Zabuza Momochi, the rouge ninja of the Hidden Mists."  Kakashi said, walking towards Zabuza.  

Wait..that name sounds oddly familar?  I think I read a bingo book with his name in it...

I see a blonde blur run past me, NARUTO!  What are you doing?!  Do you honestly have a death wish!?

Naruto was stopped by Kakashi's outstreched arm.  "But why?"  Naruto asked, suprised and angered.

"He's on a whole different league.  If he's the opponent, I'll need this." Kakashi began to lift up his headband, reavealing his left eye.  

What!?  How did he have a Shari-wait...I read it in a book.  Not how Kakashi-sensei got his Sharigan, but how to obtain a kekkei genkai without having it in your lineage.  Even though it-

"Kakashi of the Sharigan."  Zabuza said with his raspy voice, causing me to break out of my thoughts, "Did I get that right?"

"Hey, Sakura.  What's a Sharingan?"  Naruto asked Sakura.  

I sighed.  I realized why Naruto had the lowest score out of our entire class now.  Even though my tutoring did help him a little bit.  He is still an idiot.

"A Sharingan is an Eye technique called a Kekkei Genkai.  It gives it's user the ability to read and defeat any type of Genjutsu, Ninjutsu, and Taijutsu.  It can also copy the opponent's technique once you see it.  It is normally only passed in the Uchiha family line.."  Sakura stated.

I moved more towards Tazuna.  I readied all of my kunai's.  Thankfully I have officially mastered shurikenjutsu!  If not, I would probably be really afraid right now.

"Everyone, follow Sasuke's lead and get into a manji formation!"  Kakashi ordered while he fully removed the headband, revealing a long scar where his eye was.  

Huh, so Sasuke is now our leader?  This will be interesting...

"I'm ready,"  Kakashi says, opening his left eye, showing the Sharingan.

I've never seen the Sharingan in action before, which makes sense of course.  But I've seen pictures and descriptions of the Sharingan in books but seeing it in person is different.  Especially during each one of its stages.

"Enough talking," Zabuza said emotionlessly.  He grabbed the handle of his sword and disappeared.

"I need to exterminate the old man.  NOW!"  Zabuza shouted, causing me to tighten my grip on my kunai.  Just take a deep breath, Hotaru.  Kakashi would never let anyone, especially him, hurt you.

Our formation became tighter around Tazuna, which he suddenly became quite.  

I could barely see anymore.  The fog made it nearly impossible to even see Kakashi, who was about 20 meters in front of us.  Wait, could it be that Zabuza is manipulating the fog?  I mean, it wasn't as thick as it was before we met him.  Then again, we are by a lake...

"I'll have to eliminate you first, huh Kakashi?" Zabuza voice seemed to echo in the fog, causing both Sakura and Naruto to be more on edge.

I look towards the lake and saw him.  "THERE HE IS!" Naruto shouted as Sakura hollered, "He's standing on water!"
