consolation
Before heading to (Y/N), Lev hurried to Kuroo's house. He felt like it would be better to head there first and...and...he didn't know what he was going to do or say. If he was honest, he didn't want to tell Kuroo that (Y/N) liked him and betray her trust and he didn't want to discover that Kuroo also liked (Y/N) or that he didn't and would have to break (Y/N)'s heart. All in all, he didn't know what he wanted or if he even wanted anything. But this wasn't going to be resolved if he just stood idly by.
"Hello, Miss Kuroo," Lev said with a low now, "Would it be alright if I came in and spoke to your son?"
"Of course, dear," she said with a kind smile, ushering him in, "Are you one of his volleyball friends, you're awfully tall?"
"Yes, ma'am," he confirmed, he'd never been to Kuroo's house before and he hadn't expected it to be so... Homely.
"His room is just upstairs," she pointed straight ahead to the staircase, "Can I get you anything before you head up?"
"No, thank you," he smiled at the woman, and headed straight to Kuroo's room.
He opened the door without knocking to find an upside down Kuroo, hanging off of his bed with headphones in his ears,
"We need to talk," Lev said,
"What!?" Kuroo shouted before pulling his headphones out of his ears
"I said," Lev repeated, "we need to talk."
"Wow! Why so serious?" He was joking, but the Lev's sudden and uncharacteristic seriousness unnerved him. Kuroo matched Lev's tone, "what is it?"
"Umm," oh god how do I say this?, "ya know (Y/N)?"
"Yes," Kuroo replied slowly,
"Well, she kinda..." he trailed off, he was going to have to tell him, "likes you."
"Well who doesn't? I'm amazing," he joked,
"I'm being serious," this shut Kuroo up. Lev was glad. He had already fallen out with
(Y/N), he didn't want to lose her. Especially when that would mean seeing her being happy with someone else all day, "She likes you, do you like her?""No, of course not," Kuroo assured Lev, "She's like a sister to me." Lev released a deep sigh. He knew the captain would not lie to him so he was secure in the knowledge he didn't like (Y/N).
"But why not let her tell me herself?" Kuroo asked
"Well," Lev scratched the back of his head, "I think I have a crush on her,"
a/n i feel like this story is going way too fast. enjoy!
