"tell him to go away!" Lev heard (y/n)'s voice from inside the house carry to the front door.

"sorry buddy," the boy shrugged unapologetically at him and moved to shut the door in his face.

before the door slammed on his chances of reconciliation, he jammed his foot between it and the frame it rested in. the blonde boy with the undercut quickly shifted his gaze to the lev's shoe in the door frame and his gaze slowly travelled upwards until he was glaring directly at lev, locking eyes with him.

'i'm sorry but i really need to speak to her,' lev pleaded with the shorter boy

'she said no,' the blonde stated harshly, 'so leave, or you will be sorry.'

lev looked the other boy up and down, trying to decide on his next move and, upon deciding, considering just how stupid it might be,

'(y/n)!' lev leaned slightly over the other boy and shouted loudly up the stairs not too far behind him, 'i need to talk to you!'

the blonde pushed harder on the door, squeezing lev's foot in between it and the door. recoiling from the pain, lev pulled his foot towards himself and the blonde seized the opportunity to slam the door extremely hard in lev's face. he locked it quickly and harshly slid across the deadbolt.

immediately, he turned and ran back up the stairs and into (y/n)'s room where she was sat on the edge of her bed, elbows on her knees and head hung heavily in her hands. he bounced onto the bed behind her and threw his arm around her shoulders and hugged her tightly. she sunk into his familiar hug and lightly rested her head on his shoulder as tears streamed slowly and silently down her face, pooling at the base of her neck.

'teru, what did i do wrong?' (y/n) sobbed into his shoulder, sniffling loudly as she did so.

'you didn't do anything wrong' terushima patted his sister gently, albeit slightly awkwardly on the back, 'he's obviously an asshat'

she continued to cry for a while nonetheless, terushima doing his best to comfort her while she did. it lasted so long she almost forgot why she was crying, all she knew was that she felt so betrayed by the person she had been the closest to all of her life. eventually, the tears slowed to a stop and terushima left her to be alone in her room, listening to music as she sat gazing out of the window in her room at her back yard, looking at nothing in particular and slowly combing through the events of the day in her mind.

lev reached the wall at the end of (y/n)'s garden, he turned so he was facing road and slowly slid down it until he was sat facing the road with his legs sprawled out onto the sidewalk in front of him. said wall sat slightly above his head so he was completely obscured from the view of the house.

fiddling with loose rocks on the pavement, lev wondered helplessly what he could to get through to (y/n). he didn't have any sort of plan, he didn't even really know why he hadn't just gone straight home. but he didn't want to leave her like this, she was his best friend, they were always together, no one knew anyone as well as she knew him.

he swivelled his head to look up at (y/n)'s house, and at her bedroom window that faced out onto the road. it was torture that she was so close, but refused to talk to him. she must hate him. all he did was hurt her, and he was so ignorantly unaware of it.

for a moment, he considered getting up and defeatedly making his was home, it wasn't too far away. if he went home though, he wouldn't be with her, maybe he wouldn't even get to speak to her again if he didn't fix it soon. that isn't an option for him. turning his head back to look out at the road, he decided to give her some more time. time to calm down and hopefully feel a little better, and then he would go straight back in and do his best to make everything better for her.
