A/N: Hey guys! How are ya doing? I hope you like this update I have for you! Hope you like it!
*Flash back*
Harry's POV:
What to wear? I thought to myself. Don't go too out of your way to dress up. She had told me. I'm stressing out way more than I should be. This was just a date, it was going to be just like all of the other first dates I've gone on. But why does it feel so strange? Why does it feel like its so much more than that. Like it's something I've been waiting for my whole life?
My phone buzzes on the table next to me. Louis face pops up on the screen. I drop the shirt I was holding up to myself and picked up the phone.
"Hello?" I say into the phone,
"Harry! Mate! What do you say about coming to a party at Zayn's house tonight? There's suppose to be a good show of people there tonight!" Louis voice rings into my ear.
"Sorry mate, I'd love to but I've already have plans" I state.
"Aw man, can't you just cancel? It's going to be huge!" Louis begs.
"No, sorry I can't I have a date tonight." I explain.
"You what?" Louis asks sounding surprised, "Sorry man the connection must be bad, cause I thought you just said you had a date."
"Nope, you heard right." I press
"Bro! Its been ages since you've been out and about." he argues "And might I add, meeting at a bar with a girl and taking her home doesn't count as a date!"
He was right that I havn't been on a date in a while, I guess it was just easier not settling down and being committed. Not now.
"Buzz off." I reply to Louis joke.
He chuckles, "Sure thing, don't want to be interrupting you and this chick tonight." I could see him winking just by the playful tone in his voice. Without replying I ended the conversation and picked the shirt I had previously dropped on the floor and held it up again.
Nah, this won't do.
Discarding the shirt I went to go find another.
Lilly's POV:
"YOU WHAT?" Ella shrieks into the phone.
"Me and Harry are going on a date tonight." I casually reply. I didn't think it should be a big surprise to her. I was always talking about him and texting him. We started to be really good friends a week or two after he took me home from the bar. Nothing happened of course. I'm more of a conservative girl, unlike Ella who I love to death, but she will throw herself at any guy who looks at her with googly eyes.
We came back to my flat and just talked. Honestly I don't remember half the things we talked about but I remember I had a great time and was laughing the whole time. He was such a nice guy, of course I asked for his number when he was getting to leave.
"I know, I know, I heard, but what... How?" Ella stammers, "When did he ask you, or did you ask him? Where are you guys going? Oh my gosh I should have seen this coming! You're always talking about him! You really like him don't you? You have to tell me all the deets when you get back!" She rambles. I guess its surprising that I'm the one with the date.
"Jeez, calm down! He asked me a few days ago and yes I do like him," I chuckle to myself, remembering how many times I spent asking myself if I really did like him. "He said he was going to surprise me and," I paused to check the time. 5:30." "He's going to pick me up in an hour and a half." I continue
I hear a half scream and half giggle on the other end, "Do you want me to come over to help you get ready?" Ella asks.
"Would you? I have no idea what to wear, and I told him not to dress up to much so I'm going to try and stick with that as much as I can."
"Yes! I'll be over in 5!" She squeals
"Okay, see ya soon!" I cheerfully say into the phone.
"See ya!" I hear a faint giggle before the line goes dead, and I roll my eyes.
I sigh as I look at all of the clothes I had piled onto my bed trying to decide what to wear. Should I wear my sweater that slings over one shoulder or my oversized sweatshirt and jeans? Good thing Ella is coming over... Or is it? I'll either end up looking like a complete slut or pretty decent.
-Later-
Harry's POV:
I checked my phone again, Lilly's address showing on my screen. She actually didn't live too far away from me. Just about a 10 minute drive. Of course I didn't want to be late so I got here at least 15 minutes ago, and I still have another 10 minutes before I'm suppose to be knocking on her door.
I had planned on taking her to a movie, but I then decided that our first date should be special and we should actually talk to each other, so then I decided to go to a little Italian place a few miles away from here called Romeo's. I've been there once before with the boys and they had made a complete mess of the table. Hopefully no one remembers me.
I glance at the digital clock in front of me once again. 5 more minutes. I sit tapping my foot and running my hands through my hair, so nervous for tonight. I just hope I don't screw it up, Ella is genuinely a nice person, she didn't force herself on me, not like the other girls, and she just talked, and laughed, she has a wonderful laugh.
Forget it, I can't wait any longer. I hopped out of my car and shuffled up the steps and rang the buzzer into her building.
"Hello?" Her sweet voice rings through the speaker. I shove my hands in my pocket.
"Err, umm, hi. It's Harry." I struggle to find any words to say.
"Oh, hey! Just a sec, I'll buzz you in." A second later a long tone echoes from the speaker and I hear the front doors unlock. "I'm on the 6th floor, number 623, you just take a left off the elevator and I'm on the end of the hall to your left." She directs.
"Okay, thanks! I'll be right up." I mutter.
Lilly's POV:
"Did you hear that?! He was so nervous! That's so cute!" Ella squeels.
I blush and ask, "Do I look Ok?"
"Of course! He would be a fool not to ask you on a second date!" Ella tells me reasuringly.
We had gone with the sweater that hangs off my shoulder and some new jeggings I got. They show off my legs perfectly, and I had as little make up as I could out on, just a little bit of mascara and the thinnest possible line of eyeliner, and some lip gloss. Suddenly there was a knock at the door.
"Wow, that was quick!" Ella exclaims as I make my way over to the door. As I came across some of the piles of junk I curse under my breath for not cleaning up this mess, so it actually looks like someone could live here. I unlock the door and see Harry standing there, hands shoved in his pants, wearing a black T-shirt and some ripped black jeans. He looks good in black. Harry looks up and his breath catches.
"You-you look beautiful." He sutters, as I feel my face get red and start to blush.
"Thank you" I say shyly
"Well I hope you guys have fun. I'll just stick around here, probably watch a couple movies. Take as long as you need!" Ella butts in while shooing us out the door. I hear the lock click behind me and I look up at Harry and smile.
"Shall we then?" He asks showing the way down the hall.
I giggle slightly and reply, "We shall."
