春野サクラ
Sakura decided to keep her mouth shut. Even if she was right, no one would believe her. The second she made her decision, the dream was buried in the back of her head, forgotten.
As she walked down the hallway, she couldn't help but shudder as she eyed the ground. But what was he planning? She wouldn't help but think. He already has Sasuke...Why would he need the village?
Unless, her inner voiced. It's not the village he wants. Maybe, he wants the medicines and the serums in the hospital. The hospital also had the journals of past famous doctors, explaining different poisons and their antidotes. Maybe he's after that--after all, he dug a tunnel underneath the hospital.
But still...it doesn't convince me. She thought. When she finished her shift at the hospital, she wasted no time in leaving and running to the Hokage Office. She then was met at the sight of Tsunade cleaning out her office, with many boxes of paper lying in them.
"Tsunade-shishou, what are you doing?" She asked as she opened the door. "What are all these boxes for?" The pinkette's mentor only waved her hand dismissively.
"Just cleaning out some stuff. Come help me." Sakura rolled her eyes but obliged nonetheless. "Empty out this cabinet right here and I'll...drink my sake."
Sakura held back a sigh as she pulled out a drawer and stuck the files in the box--file by file. Her whole day was empty for many reasons. Many shinobi were stealing all the missions for the money they earned in return, leaving no jobs for her. She once joined the Konoha Torture and Interrogation Force, but she grew sick of the blood and gore she experienced--she was a medic, she was supposed to save people, not hurt them.
But even as she decided to spend her day cleaning out the office, she couldn't help but ask, "Are you sure, Tsunade-shishou? Many of these files include restricted and limited information--"
"I trust you deeply, Sakura. Why else would I have asked you?" Because you're too lazy to do your own darn work, Sakura couldn't help but think as Tsunade took a swig of her drink. "Besides, Shizune is too busy with her pig."
But then Sakura came across a handful of files that interested her--unfortunately, they were marked with many stamps of 'Restricted Files.' One of the labels read, Uchiha Clan. That peaked her curiosity.
She hesitantly looked back at her mentor, watching her blatantly gorge the bottle of Sake she had in her hand. She then looked back at the files--She wouldn't figure out she lost the files, right? After all, she does trust me. She won't be mad. Sakura made sure to place files in the last few spaces in the box before continuing her work.
After a while, the Godaime Hokage looked out the window of the office and noticed the sun dipping into the horizon. She turned to her apprentice. "Sakura, that's enough for now. Go home and rest, make sure you eat dinner."
Sakura rolled her eyes at her mentor for the umpteenth time--what are you, my mother? She then threw on jacket and fished the restricted files from the box. She made sure to hide them in her jacket before leaving. "Bye, Shishou!"
That night, in the middle of dinner, she read them.
And she couldn't believe what she read.
