Kristina's POV:
The next two days were a blur, all we did was pack and said goodbye to all of our family and friends.

"KRISTINA WAKE UP" McKenna whines. When she heard my mom say that we were moving to North Carolina, she freaked out because apparently that's where Joey lives. I told her we probably aren't going to see him but she has high hopes.

"ughhhhh" I groan rolling the covers back over my face. "KRISTINA WE'RE LEAVING IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS GET UP" she shouts. I don't move, then she says "I'll take your phone". I look up at her to see her smirking. "You wouldn't" I say giving her a death glare, her smirk grows bigger and she takes off running.

"MCKENNA MARIE IM GOING TO KILL YOU" I yell slowly getting off my bed. I walk to my door and she jumps out of nowhere to be standing in front of me. She gives me an accomplished look and says "see, I got you out of bed." I roll my eyes as she walks away.

"What do I wear today" I ask myself, looking at all of the boxes in my room filled with my belongings. I open one and see something cute but comfy. "Oh how about this" I say smiling to myself. I pull the outfit out of the box and lay it on my bed (they were picking up the furniture later). I chose a black crop top with blue jean shorts, black vans, and a red flannel.

I put on my clothes and I blow dried my hair. Once it was dry, I braided it.

I checked the time on my phone and there were only about 30 minutes left until we had to leave. I didn't put any makeup on, I just went downstairs to see everyone loading the boxes into the car. I grabbed an apple and ran out the door.
After continuously arguing, McKenna ended up sitting in the back with my brother, and I sat up front with my mom.

"Mom how long does it take to get there?" I ask her. "6 hours and 45 minutes" she said, sighing. She knew how much of a hassle it'd be to take a three year old on a six hour trip.

Honestly, just think about it. A crabby three year old boy stuck in a car for almost seven hours straight with no access to any toys. We started driving and my mom turned on a movie for my brother. I plugged in my earbuds and went onto Spotify. As soon as 'Fake Love' by Drake came on, I drifted off to into a deep sleep.
I woke up and checked the time, it was 2:00pm, which means I had slept for four hours. Wow, I must've been really tired.

"Mom I'm hungry" I told her. McKenna followed me by saying "so am I". "There's a rest stop three miles down the road, we can stop there" my mom said. I looked back at McKenna and then at my brother, he had fallen asleep. 'No wonder it's so quiet' I say, laughing to myself. I sit back in my seat and stare out the window until we pull up to the rest stop.

My mom parks the car and gives me thirty dollars. "What's this for?" I ask her. "You and McKenna go ahead in and get something to eat. Get me a coffee from Starbucks and feel free to get anything else that you want. I'm going to wait in the car with your brother because he's still asleep and I don't want to wake him up" she says. I smile and say "Thanks mom". McKenna says the same and we walk in.

Once we're inside, McKenna and I go straight to Starbucks. I get a caramel macchiato to keep me awake, McKenna gets a strawberry refresher because she wants something "healthy" and I get my mom hazelnut coffee with cream and sugar. We pay and head back out to the car. I open the door and hand my mom her coffee. Once we were all situated, my mom started the engine and we continued driving.

After what seemed like an eternity of silence, I finally speak up. "Mom how much longer?"
"About ten minutes" she says. I sigh and look out the window once again. Soon, we pulled up to a pretty big, nice looking house. "Mom, we must have the wrong address" I say while laughing. She looks back at me, laughing as well, and says "nope, it's all ours". I grab my backpack and as soon as my mom unlocks the door,  I sprint upstairs and claim the second biggest room in the house (the biggest one was for my mom). I sit my backpack down on the floor and look around my new room. It had a huge walk-in closet and I had my own bathroom. The walls were white and I had a hardwood floor. I stood there for a second and imagined what my room would look like once everything was arranged the way I liked it. I saw something move outside of my window which made me snap out of whatever trance I was in, but I just ignored it.

I smile to myself and then go back downstairs. Since I was in a rush, I didn't really get to see what the main level of our house looked like. Wow, it was beautiful. I ran out the backdoor to see an in-ground pool. I squealed and went back in to see my mom taking a box into the kitchen. I run up to her and hug her.

Once I pull away, I say "Mom you didn't tell me that our new house had a pool" she looked at me and smiled, saying "well I wanted you to have a surprise for when you got here." I thanked her one more time and then smiled to myself thinking...

Wow, I think I'm going to like it here.
