CHAPTER 2

DO IT NOW, REMEMBER IT LATER

I lay curled up in my bed wit Razor and before you start thinking that I just had sex with him, you are so very wrong. It's nice to just lay in bed with someone every once in a while and I got along with Razor better than anyone at this stupid school.
"How about, to prove that I'm not siding with my father, I come work for you? I'll stay by your side and you can even have possession of my phone at all times?" He rolled over a little so his head was on my chest and wrapped his left arm around my waist and his left leg over both of mine.
"I'll talk to Coach and Jacob." I said snuggling into his warmth and I yawned. "I'm so tired."
Razor took a glance at my now clean floor and frowned. "Who would have ruined your room like that?"
"I don't know," I said drifting off to sleep.

I woke up to my bed being unnaturally warm and remembered that Razor was in bed with me. I snuggled up into the warmth, content and happy until someone barged into my room.
"Harley!" I sat up straight at my name being yelled, Razor just leaned up on his elbow.
"What?!" I snapped, not thinking about how Razor and I would have actually looked.
Daniel blushed and looked away. "Sorry, I didn't realise that you had company last night."
I rolled my eyes. "My room was trashed last night when we got back from the garage and Razor magically appeared at my door and helped me." I looked at the clock beside my bed and then growled.
  6.15 am.
"Thanks for the wake up." I grabbed one of the many shirts that were hanging out of my shirt draw, then opened the bottom draw, grabbing a pair of waist high shorts and a pair of stockings. I then proceeded to the bathroom with my clothes and towel.

I walked out of the bathroom fully dressed and made up; I looked at my clock beside my bed.
  6.42 am.
I walked over to the shoe rack I had sitting beside my door and pulled on my Skull Candy boots.
"You manage to be sexy while putting boots on, how does that work?" Razor asked from my bed. He was wearing fresh clothes and had just finished tying up his Creepers, so he had one knee pulled to his chest.
I shrugged. "I'm just naturally sexy." I walked over to him and pushed him to the bed and kissed him for an unknown reason. It was then that I noticed he had full lips that never fully closed, clear blue eyes, a slightly upward tilted nose and two scars in his left eyebrow.
"That is something I would have to agree with." We both laughed and I flopped down on my back next to Razor.
"So, why Razor and not Joey?" I asked.
"I just didn't want anyone to know who I was and then having them suck up to me to get drugs or a place as one of my father's racers." He moved his head so he was facing me. "What about you? Why don't you tell everyone who you are?"
"I don't mix well with fake people. More than half of this school is full of them; I would rather be friends with people who'd be like 'Oh? You're the Street Queen? Big whoop, we got into this mess together, you're coming down with us.' You know? I want friends I can make trouble with. Daniel seems to be a true friend but there's this gut feeling telling me not to trust him." I turned so I was lying on my side facing Razor and he did the same, throwing his left arm over my waist.
"What do you mean?" He asked, placing his forehead against mine.
"I just get this feeling that I shouldn't trust him," I sighed. "He hasn't done anything to me for me not to trust him . . ."
My door opened and I moved a little to see who was opening it. Daniel walked in with his backpack on and flopped down on my desk chair.
"Come on you two, it's already," he looked at his watch. "Nineteen past seven and I think that we're getting an awesome breakfast spread this morning."
Razor and I looked at each other for a few seconds before shaking our heads at him. Razor leaned up on his elbow and over me ever so slightly.
"The only way that it would be an amazing spread is if they put every breakfast food you could think about and then more and let us have more than one plate of food." He said sneakily rubbing the tips of his fingers along my hip.
"Can we just go and get breakfast? My gut is eating itself." Daniel stood up and slung his Zombie Killer bag over his shoulder.
I stood up and grabbed my text books from beside my bed and shoved them in my Skull Candy shoulder bag, I was behind in school work and I didn't want to be suspended from the garage. Razor just picked up a bag that I figured he had his clothes in.
"Daniel, why aren't you with the 'popular' kids?" I asked.
"Because I finally realised how fake they all really were and if it wasn't for what you said the other day then I would still be hanging out with them." He walked off with his bag slung over both his shoulders and hands in his pockets.
This was only the starting of a friendship I never knew I was going to have for the rest of my life, hell I thought the guys at the garage were going to be the only people I was ever going to rely on in my life.

I shook my head as Razor chased Daniel around the Dodge. I picked up a few files with customers names on them and walker over to my desk to see which cars I needed to finish.
Nissan Hilux needs the lights realigned, a Toyota 4Runner needs a gear box change, a Holden Barina needs a window replacement . . .
  Smash!
I spun around so quick you'd have thought I gave myself whiplash.
Standing not too far away from my Skyline was Razor and he had a face that was red with anger and a Daniel who looked ready to run for cover. Lying around them was some glass from my back windshield but most of the glass was in the car, a breaker bar was hanging loosely from Razors right hand.
I screamed and ran over to my car. "What the hell were you thinking, Razor? You know how much this GTR means to me!"
Razor threw the breaker bar to the ground and placed his hands on my waist. "I didn't do it, I swear to God to you, Harley. I wouldn't do this to you." He pulled me into a hug.
Daniel and Jacob opened the back doors to see the extent of the glass damage on the inside. Jacob came out from the car holding a note that now had some tears in it due to the glass and Daniel can out of the car holding a metal object of sorts.
"I think this might be for you, Harley." Jacob gave me the note but Razor refused to let me go, so I opened it and read it between the two of us.

Street Queen,
You have put my son under some type of spell and that is low, even for a girl as young as you. It had taken me six months for my son to just acknowledge me and now he won't speak to me again. It is quite pathetic that a son of mine could become so whipped on a girl that never leaves her garage other than to race.
A King and Queen are not meant to fight, they are meant to love and work together. Not a Queen and a Prince.
To get my son back, I am offering you a place working beside me. You would be a prized possession of mine and my sons but not to mention a prized racer. It's what all watchers want, a King and Queen together.
I'll give you a week to make your decision and I'm sure you'll make the right choice.

"Pathetic." Razor shook his head. "A week? That's when the next race is! What does he expect you to do? Sit out?" He stood straighter. "That's exactly what he wants you to do."
"Well, then that's what I'll do." I turned to Daniel. "You need to start learning to drive. I'll put you in the Dodge until my GTR is..." I looked at my beautiful car. "Until she is back to health."
"You sure that's a good idea? He's a drug lord, Harley." I gave Jacob an 'Are you crazy?' look.
"Jacob, how many people do we sell drugs to on a weekly basis?" He opened his mouth, and then closed it again. "That's what I thought. We're right up there with him. Not to mention, how many people have we stolen from to get where we are right now? How many cops do we pay off so no one knows what goes on behind our doors?"
"But you gotta remember that the drugs are something that we're trying to get out of." Jacob pointed out.
"That doesn't matter! We've all been addicted to drugs at one point or sold them! Our faces will always be in the minds of those that bought from us."

I sighed as I sat at my normal table, alone. Daniel and Razor were still asleep in their dorms and I didn't have the heart to ruin their sleep. We got back from the garage last night really late after making a start on my GTR.
"No boys to protect the slut?" I sighed again and stuck my hand in my pocket, grabbing the small pocket knife that I haven't touched in a while.
"Go away," I glanced at the two mocha coloured girls that thought they looked tough. "I'm not really in the mood for you little wanna be gangster girls, alright?"
"Wanna be what?" One of them said to me. I shook my head and looked at my bowel of fruit loops about to take a bite from my spoon but one of the girls thought different. She slapped the spoon out of my hand and grabbed me by the collar of my flannel.
"It's a shame that girls like you don't know proper English. Maybe Mr Kirks could give you some private lessons? He's apparently a smooth talker." I teased the girls.
"You stupid little slut," She raised her fist and punch me in the jaw, splitting my lip.
"You're lucky." I heard Daniels voice from behind me as I ran my tongue over my lip to find the split and make sure it wasn't near one of my piercings.
"Lucky? She's pathetic." The girl holding onto my shirt asked.
"I've known her a week now and every time another racer picks on a girl..." Daniel shuddered for effect because he's never seen me fight before. "Let's just say I've had nightmares."
I giggled and pulled my knife out on the bitch and held it to her throat. "I'm no push over."

"Okay," Razor said holding my bandaged hand. "I think you need to learn some self control." I could see that he was trying not to smile.
"Self control?" I looked over tat him. "The bitch was better than I thought, I was sure she would have run off like the other one."
"Well, she didn't." He stated. Razor and I were headed out to the back of the school to have lunch, sort of like a date. Just me and him, I even turned my phone on silent and left it in my bag.
"I kinda figured that when I had my knife taken off me." I slipped my hand out of his and in to his back pocket and he did the same thing.
He laughed a little and kissed my cheek, my stomach did a little flip and I sorta felt sick but I enjoyed the feeling at the same time.
"I know this is crazy, only knowing you for three days but, would you seriously consider dating me?" I was shocked and Razor could see that. "You're in my head all the time and being around you gives me this nervous and sick feeling but I love it."
I felt a smile come onto my face and I don't smile for no reason at all.
