Previously on Her Safe Haven: It was finally Friday; Jonah, Rose, and the three guests from Dews High decided to have dinner together. Winter was invited but declined, and Rohan stayed back with her in the student council room. In the end they left together to the restaurant to join the others.
'No way! Joker is definitely a better villain than Loki.'
"Well, considering that they're both created by different studios, I'm not even sure that we can make accurate comparisons. But if you insist, I would have to say I favour Loki."
'Oh please - have you seen Suicide Squad? Joker is hot!'
Rohan raised his eyebrows at her. "My apologies for not being able to appreciate his... attractiveness — I'm not really interested in other men."
Winter laughed and gave a pretend gasp. 'Oh sorry, you just don't seem the type to be interested in women, either.'
His lips quirked slightly into a smirk. "Well, I definitely prefer Harley Quinn over Joker, if that's what you're asking," he said, "but on the other hand, no, I don't think I am at the appropriate age to be committed in a romantic relationship yet."
She raised her eyebrows at him. 'You're sixteen.'
He stared at her. "Your point is?"
'You're in high school! Live a little! And it's not like you're unattractive — I mean, I think lot of girls would be more than happy to date you,' she huffed, and felt her cheeks heating up when she realised what she just said. 'I mean, uh, I don't want to date you, obviously, but I'm just saying that... Uh... How do I put it—'
He laughed. "I get it, calm down," he said, shaking his head at her antics. If he was a bit more... normal, he would say that she was being quite cute. "And as much as I appreciate your compliment, I still don't think it's wise for me to commit myself in something I'm not ready for, yet."
She shook her head at him. 'Alright, suit yourself,' she gestured as they approached the restaurant they were heading to. 'We're here.'

"Oh please! That kid still has another ten years before he would even think about girls. I mean, have you heard him talk? That boy made William Shakespeare sounds like Eminem rapping," Lennox huffed and crossed her arms.
As much as she wanted to see what would her youngest, socially-awkward brother do when in love, that kid hadn't shown any interest in the opposite gender since the day he was born.
Rose sighed. "That's too bad. Rohan is quite handsome," she frowned. And those abs...
At first glance, she found Rohan's built seemed quite insignificant in that too-big uniform of his — but after spending quite some time with him this week (and accidentally seeing him topless when he was changing inside the council room), Rose realised that maybe she had judged too quickly.
Rose shook her head and snapped back to reality. This was not the right time and place to be thinking about those... damned beautifully toned muscle!
"Don't be too disappointed love, you can always turn to his single, available brother who'd be more than happy to take you out on a date," Jacob — who was significantly larger if compared to his younger brother — winked at her, earning him a whack on the head from Lennox. "Hey, that hurts!"
The rest of the table laughed. They continued their talk until Jonah suddenly raised his glass of coke and cleared his throat.
"To new friendship between Lakeside and Dews High. We look forward to working with you for the Lakeside Festival," he said, smiling gratefully at Lennox and Jacob. "Cheers."
