AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hi guys! :) I'm trying to put in some writing time in the middle of this Fall break (hey, a girl gotta have an actual break, right?), so stay tuned because I'm hoping to post a few more chapters before the end of this week! Thank you for still reading this if you are! :)
Oh, and I've realised that since I'm updating at a pretty haywired ad-hoc schedule, it might be hard for you to follow, so I'm gonna start posting a "Previously on Her Safe Haven" tag in the beginning of each chapter. If you're lost, just go back and reread that section for a summary of the previous chapter. Hope it helps! And I've also started naming the chapters to help you recall hehe.
So here goes nothing...
Previously on Her Safe Haven: Winter dreamt of Rohan Garrison. Meanwhile, Rohan found out that rumours about him and Winter had spread because one of Dews High's students, Rachel Turner, who was also a volunteer at the Mental Institution (and had a stalking obsession to him) accidentally saw him and Winter going inside a janitor's closet together (in truth he was showing her the entrance to the hospital's roof). His siblings, Jacob and Lennox, teased him about it and he ended up asking them how does liking a person feel like. In the end he decided that he and Winter were just friends for now. At the end of the chapter he decided to text Winter about the weather to talk to her.
Rohan: Dews Town is sunny today. I like the weather in Lakeside more, though.

It was a pleasant surprise when she received the message in the middle of her quick lunch in the classroom. She packed her bag as she typed in the reply and quickly got ready for the next lesson — her Tuesday schedule had always been jam-packed.
Though at the same time she was questioning his intention in telling her about the weather, out of all things.
Winter: Really! It's been raining here for a few days now, but I think it will change very soon :)

"Psst. Seth, wake up! Teacher's coming this way."
Seth immediately sat up upon hearing Jonah's whisper, inwardly groaning as he folded his arms on the desk and tried with his upmost energy to open his eyes and 'look alive!', as Mr Hills had once told him to.
As soon as Mr Hills walked pass their adjoined desks without suspicion, Seth dropped his head back on the desk and buried it in his arms. 'Sweet clouds calling me to sleep. One can't just ignore the call of Mother Pillow—'
"—AAH!"
There was a loud sound of the chair toppling over, and Jonah bursted out laughing as the rest of the class started snorting and giggling in amusement at Seth, who had quite literally fallen off his chair in the middle of falling asleep.
Mr Hills crossed his arms and rolled his eyes, telling Seth — whose face was turning pink in clear embarrassment as he climbed back to his seat — to "stop acting like an effing idiot and pay attention if you want to pass my lesson"; Seth replied with half-hearted apologies and sat down, glaring at Jonah who was hitting his back in laughter. "I swear, I should've recorded that! Haha!"
"Tch. Idiot, shut up," he rolled his eyes at the blonde.
He managed to stay awake for another ten minutes or so before he felt himself getting sleepy yet again. Looking up at the clock on the wall, he silently prayed for it to tick faster so he could go home to meet his Mother Pillow and just sleep.
