Kent Point of View
A constant knocking on my door wakes me up.
"Wake up, wake up, wake up. Penney, Penney, Penny," Jared yells at me while he knocks.
"I'm coming!" I groan after yelling at him. Getting up I throw on a shirt, leather jacket, jeans, and black timberlands. Everything I'm wearing is black. Walking out the door ,I see Jared leaning against the wall, looking annoyed.
"I'm here ,stop knocking." I mumble while I put my backpack over my shoulder. Entering the halls of he dreaded school I notice a crowd of people standing around something.
Walking over is here people talking. Approaching the crowd ,people see me come king and part ways. Standing at the front I notice Lacie and a jock I think his name is Mark ,and the new girl ,arguing.
"Why don't you go die in a hole grandma," Lacie spits at her.
"If I wanted to die I would climb your ego and jump to your IQ," she says back while rolling her eyes. "Oh and you miss colored your eyebrows on the corner," the last comment sent some people snickering.
Lacie's hands fly up to cover her eyebrows as she runs away to the girls bathroom. Some of the girls standing behind her snicker. Mark keeps standing there definitely. His gang stand next to him ,as if to intimidate the girls. The new girl steps back as a blonde steps up.
Her long bob frames her face. "Hi I'm Bryn, and I was curious if you could back up because your kind of lowering our IQ by you standing so close," the blonde ,who's name I have found out is Bryn, tells the guy gang in a sickly sweet voice. Her hands make a shooing motion at them.
The boys look at her ,shock written across there faces. "Close your mouths. We don't want you to get another disease," she bites back, still her voice is sweet.
After that comment the girls turn and walk away. Mark is about to say something when the new girl flips him the bird from over her shoulder.
Jared and I walk to our lockers a few minutes after. Not really paying attention, Jared taps my shoulder. "Look who's locker is right next to yours," he says while nudging my shoulder. Looking over is see the girl gang. I take notice of Cole and his long time crush ,Raina, hanging out with them.
Jared walks over puts his arm around Cole. Following slowly behind him I groan quietly. When I walk up to the group I see the new girl glance at me. Nodding my head at her ,she waves back. "So who are you?" A girl with blue hair asks me. Her blue eyes ,a mix of light blue and dark blue, glare my way.
"Kent Onyx," I say in monotone voice. "Who are you guys.
Bryn the blonde that I saw earlier responses to this. "Well I'm Bryn, the moody blue haired girl is Kinsley, the quiet brunette is Hadley, the girl with the whitish gray hair is Jynx, the girl with the cool eyebrows is Raina ,and the obnoxious boy is Cole."
So her name is Jynx. Quite unique.
Time skip to monday because nothing else happens after that.
Waking up that morning was a pain. Not in literal pain but I had a headache and was not happy. So having to get up to 'learn' made me almost not want to.
After changing into sweats and a plain black top, I slip on my nikes and head out the door. Meeting Jared at his dorm I notice how happy he looks. "What wrong with you?" I mumble to him.
"What?" He quirks an eyebrow up and looks at me in confusion.
"Why are you so happy at an ungodly hour?" I ask incredulously.
He just shrugs and walks right up to the girls. Wrapping his arm around the out going blonde ,I stand across from the new girl. Studying her face a notice a bright bruise on her jaw line. Under her crimson lipstick, her lip is split.
"What's up with the bruise?" I blurt out. Playing it off I lean against the locker and cross my arms.
"Fell over and hit it," she mumbles after a pause. Her body tenses as she stands there.
"Then how did your lip split," I ask again.
"How do you usually get a split lip. I got in a fight. As usual," she hisses back. Her gray eyes glare at me. She spins on her heel and walks away. The second she does the bell rings.
