Kent's point of view

Wednesday, also known as hump day, I hate Wednesday just as much as a hate Monday. Throwing on some jeans and a short sleeved shirt, I throw on my boots and shrug a black and red flannel over my shoulders.

Opening my door I am greeted by Jared who's just about to knock ,but he was to slow. "Morning," he mumbles.

"I told you not to go the party last night." My voice sounds like a little kids saying 'I told you so'. As we walk up to the girls I see that Jinx looks different. She has a loose muscle top on with out anything over it. Her arms are crossed and her head is down so I can't see her face.

The girls keep on glancing over at her. Looking at her arm I see a tattoo. Slightly red. She is wearing Normal non ripped jeans which is a sign that something's wrong. I walk over and grip her upper arm. Loosening my grip as she winces, I pull her away from the group. Walking her outside, I notice she is trying to look away from me.

I take her to the side of the building where no one goes. I lift her head up to look at me. As her eyes meet mine, gray eyes  wide, my eyes soften as I look at her face. My eyes run all over her face, bruises, cuts, burns, coat her face. I pull her in for a hug. Jinx stands there for a minute. She wraps her arm around my neck, burying her head in the crook of my neck, just resting.

"We can skip today. I know a way out, we can go into town and forget." I whisper into her ear.

I feel her pull away. She brings her hands to her face and takes a deep breathe. "That would be nice."

I take her hand in mine and interlock our fingers. I start running. She yelps at the sudden start. Once we reach the shorter part of the wall.

I offer her a hand but she shakes her head. I watch as she scales the wall quickly. As I climb up it takes me a bit longer. After jumping down I take her hand back in mind. Looking down at our hands it reminds me of a girl I met one day. She was a photographer with her old camera. I think her name was Francesca or something like that. She asked for a picture of me at the mall.

We walk in silence until she asks the question, "where are we going?"

"Well I was thinking I want to get a new tattoo. We can get some ice cream and there is a playground not to far from the ice cream place. Maybe hit the mall and get something to eat there." I answer.

She nods her head, a distant look in her eye. "Want to play twenty questions?" I ask.

"Sure but can we not ask personal questions," she pleads.

"Sure. I'll go first. Favorite color?"

"Woah you are drawing pretty close to the personal line," she jokes as she bumps me with her shoulder. "And gray."

I play with the rings on her fingers. "Favorite animal?"

I furrow my eyebrows, think about it. "Wolf."

"Same," she replies in agreement.

"How many tattoos do you have, if you have any?" I ask her, genuinely curious.

"Well with the two I'm planning on getting today that would make eight." She becomes quiet after she answers. "How many tattoos do you have?"

"After this one I'm getting today seven. But maybe I should even it out to have the same as you." I joke, hearing her chuckle. "When we get in the shop can you show them to me?"

She nods her head. We both have the same idea and stay quiet. I walk her into my normal tattoo shop ,Indigo Ink.

I notice that as we walk in none of her tattoos are visible.

"Onyx are here to toughen this little beautify up?" Gadjet, the tattoo artist asks.

"Watch out Gadjet, you just might need to sleep with one eye open now."

Gasjet laughs. "Now what would this pretty little thing do to me?" I notice Jynx hasn't lifted her head up.

"Angel, lift your head up." I whisper in her ear.

After I call her angel, her head flies up and glares at me. "Don't call me that." She grits out.

"You got yourself a handful there boy." Gadjet says while chuckling.

Jett walk up and smacks him on the back of his head," learn to be respectful. If you don't respect her, if she doesn't hit you I will." She scolds.

Jynx laughs after that. Jett reaches her hand out for a hand shake. They both say their names and shake hands. "So how many tattoos are you getting sweetheart?" Jett asks.

"Two ma'am," Jynx answers respectfully.

"You sure that might hurt for your first time," Jett says with concern.

"Thank you for your concern ma'am but I already have six." Jynx tells her.

"Alright well lets get you back." Jett takes her to a chair and asks her what she wants. Nodding her head she gets to work.

I watch as Jynx pulls her top off. I gulp as I watch her. She has a tattoo on her shoulder. It has two roses. My eyes are wide as I realizes that she feels no pain when the needle paints her skin.

I lay down and Gadjet starts on my tattoos.

*•*•*•*•*•*•*

Jynx still won't show me her tattoos.

"Show me," I beg.

"No," she says, rolling her eyes.

We are currently sitting on the swings eating our ice cream. I got chocolate peanut butter and she got cotton candy.

I keep asking her until she finally agrees. She
turn her arm over to show me the first one. It obviously has a meaning behind it. It says...

Word count: (just the text) 1000

Sorry for not updating in forever but this was a cute chapter I think. The stuff below will be their tattoos. I know so stereotypical that the delinquents have tattoos but I truly do love tattoos with a meaning behind them.
