Chapter 5

Simon was in so much pain that when he got back to his house he started to run up the stairs but his mom caught him walking through the front door and heading upstairs.

Simon's Mom(Lori): "Where are you going Simon? Its family movie night." she didn't see how beaten up his face was

Simon: "I'm not in the mood mom. I just want to go to bed" Simon didn't want her to see his face

Lori: "Simon get down here and tell me whats wrong"

Simon: "I'm fine" Simon's mom started to walk up to him and Simon put his hands over face.

Simon's Mom: "Why are you covering your face Simon?" she said annoyed

Simon decided that he shouldn't hide that big of something from his mom and took his arms down.

When Lori saw Simon's swollen shut black eye, his bruised, face and noticed that the back of his head was bleeding she flipped her shit.

Lori: "Simon who the fuck did this to you!?"

Simon: "Mom, I'm okay don't worry about it"

Simon's Mom: "You are not okay! Your head is bleeding, your face is all bruised up, and you have a black eye! I'm taking you to the hospital right now"

Simon: "I don't need to go to the hospital mom I'm okay I just ran into a pull"

Simon's Mom didn't even listen to his excuses. She grabbed her purse and headed out the front door and yelled for Simon to follow.

Lori: "You ARE going to go to the hospital and you WILL tell me who did this to you when we get there!" 

Simon followed his mom out to the car and they drove off to the hospital.

After the doctor's ran some tests on Simon... they found out that he had a concussion, needed stitches in the back of his head, and had a broken nose.

The doctor arrived at Simon's room followed by a police officer.

Police: "So we know whatever happened to Simon was clearly assault so we need to know everything that happened and know who did this to him" the police told Simon's mom

Simon knew that he had to tell the doctor and the police what really happened. He took a deep breath and began to tell them everything that happened...

Simon: "My best friend, Nathan got mad because he saw me and his girlfriend kissing..."

Police: "So once Nathan saw you and his girlfriend kissing... he started attacking you?"

Simon: "He punched me across the face once and I told him to let me just explain but then he started punching me even more and after awhile I punched him as hard as I could to get him off of me. That seemed to make him even more mad so he got up, grabbed me by the hair and started slamming my head into the edge of a table. I started to yell for him to stop but he kept doing it. Then next thing I knew I blacked out."

Police: "Okay that's all the questions we will ask for now. Thank you for telling us what happened." 

The police and the doctor left the room to give Simon some time to rest.

Simon's Mom: "Nathan did this to you?!"

Simon: "Y-yes"

Lori: "You get some rest Simon, I'm going to go talk Debra about her son's actions"

Simon: "Mom please don't"

Simon's mom stormed out of the hospital, got in her car and drove over to Nathan's house to talk to his mom about what he had done to her son.
