"Jacob." Bella tried to get Jacobs attention, but he didn't budge.

Edward looked at me. He sucked in a deep breath and looked at Jacob. Edward made a growling sound, deep beneath his throat, then looked back at me.

"What is it?" Bella asked, again, obviously tired of asking the questions.

"Jackie is going to be a werewolf." Edward frowned.

Jacob shook his head. "I gotta go."

"Uhh... what did I do? How do I stop it?!" I almost yelled.

A crowd was already formed.

"We'll talk later." Edward ended the conversation.

"Wait, whe--" the sound of Jacob's motorcycle kicking to a start drained out Bella's words.

"Jackie, go to the reservation. You can't come to school." Edward demanded.

A very pale girl gracefully ran toward Edward. She had short, spiky hair she had a scared look on her face.

She could read the future. Of course. I thought to myself

Edward looked at me again.

"How?! I don't understand this!" Edward muttered to himself. "Jackie, you have to leave, right now. Please."

"Why? Why can't I sta--" I gasped. I would turn into a werewolf!

Edward nodded.

I turned and slowly walked away. I heard thudding steps, as someone ran toward me. I turned around. A stub nosed boy with blue eyes and short blonde hair, ran up to me.

"Hey, why are you leaving? You're the new girl....uhh" he snapped his fingers, trying to remember my name. "Jackie-Lynn right?" The boy asked.

"Jackie." I corrected him. "Call me Jackie. But, I'm leaving....," I glanced up toward Edward. He had a warning glance. He didn't want me to tell their secret. "I really need to go. I can't explain. " I answered quickly.

"Hmm.. my name is Mike. Mike Newton." Mike introduced himself.

"Look, I really have to go. See you around." I say, politely as I can, and turn and walk away. I didn't hear him following me, so I kept going.

**********45 mins later**********

The reservation, came into view, I jogged toward the sign, and sighed with relief as I passed it. I don't know why but passing the sign, knowing that I was at the reservation, felt relieving. I walked to the nearest tree, sat and leaned on the trunk. I got my phone out of my pocket and texted my best friend, Skylar.

"Hey, sky, I'm between a rock and a hard place right now. Can you talk?" I text to her.

A couple seconds later, a ding rang from my phone.

"Sure, I can. What's going on?" She texted back.

It took a couple seconds for me to text back, I didn't know how to explain.

"Well. Never mind, I'm good. It's just I'm at the reservation, in La Push." I tried to change to subject. I'm not allowed to explain this. I can't. Everything would be chaos, if people knew that there were really werewolves and vampires. Ding.
