Edwards P.O.V
"Mum w-what are you doing here?" I asked nervously because I didn't tell her where I was going to go when I left.My mother got up then hugged me tightly,the hug was kind of awkward because I was still trying to take in what is going on."Mum how did you find me?" I asked after we broke the hug.
"She looked up at me and smiled sadly I kinda figured you where going to come back to London because you would always complain when you where little how much you missed it here." I sighed then bit my lip nervously, because I really didn't want her to be here after everything she did when I was a kid."Edward I need to tell you something and it's big news so you might want to sit down while I make us some tea" she explained as she went into the kitchen.
I sat down on the couch trying to get my thoughts together,why is she here? everything has been better since I left.Me and Louis are dating,his family likes me,and I got a job as a photographer,and my grades arn't so bad which is a shocker.When she came back into the living room she set my cup down on the table and then she sat down next to me."So uh what's wrong" I asked.
She let out a shaky breath then looked up at me with a small frown "I-I have lunch cancer and I know why I have it too because of all the things I did when you where a child the drugs,the party,and all the sex is what caused it."She explained with tears in her eyes,my eyes widened in surprise as she told me the news."Im so sorry Edward I did all of those things when you where in the next room I was just lost and confused when your father died and I had no one to turn to."
I bit my lip trying to hold back tears as I wrapped my arms tightly around her waist,she dug her head in my chest as she cried.I rubbed her back trying to confert her which seemed to work because she calmed down a bit where she was just sniffling.She got her head out of my chest then looked up at me with red puffy eyes of sorrow "I need to go hun" she said with a small frown as she got up.
"But mum where will you go!?" I asked in a rush as she was almost out the door.
"Im staying at the hospital so they can run tests on me but I don't have the money so they can sure me." She said with a frown on her face.I walked over to her and engulfed her into a tight hug and whispered "I'll get you the money some way mum I promise."
She broke the hug then kissed my cheek and left the house with a broken smile.As I shut the door I had my back agenced it and breathed out heavy breaths.I dug in my pocket taking out my phone then looked at my contacts searching for Louis' name.As I clicked the call button I waited for him to pick up the phone.On the third ring he picked up the phone.
"Hey babe"
"Hey b-baby could you come over?" god damn it my voice had to crack now.
"Ok,baby whats wrong?" he asked
"I'll tell you when you get here" I said.
I didn't give him time to answer as I ended the call.
Louis' P.O.V
When I got to Edward's apartment complex the door was unlocked so I let myself in.When I when inside all I smelt was cigarettes.I started to have trouble breathing so I put my hand over my mouth and nose.I looked around the living room to see a broken tea cup on the floor with spilled tea on the wooden floor.I went into Edward's room to find an ash tray with about a whole packet of cigarette buds inside and a half empty bottle of alcohol.When I look up I saw Edward staring at me with puffy red eyes and an apologetic look "Lou im s-"
"It's ok babe" I said then when over to the side of his bed where he was at then hugged him tightly wrapping my arm's around his neck.He dug his head into the crook of my neck then wrapped his arms around my waist."Come on babe lets wash you up" I explained as I kissed his forehead then helped him up off of the bed.I held onto his waist to support him as we went into the bathroom so he could brush his teeth,because it smelled of cigarettes.
After he was done we went into the living room and sat on the couch with me rubbing his back comfortably and him crying slightly."She has lung cancer" he said fault out with a blank expression on his face.
"Who has lung Cancer love?" I asked slightly worried.He laid his head on my shoulder and whispered a faint "My mum."
I was shocked I didn't know she was back."Im sorry Ed" was all I said because I didn't know what else to say but 'sorry'.He sighed then looked at me with a small frown,I whipped his tears away with my thumbs then rubbed my cheek agenced his which caused him to smile slightly."How about we go to my house" I said with a small smile while I played with his hair.He nodded because he knew that I hated the smell of cigarettes.
When we got there I knocked on the door because I left the key on my dresser because I was in a hurry.As we waited my dad answered the door with a worried expression then opened the door wider to let us in.When we shut the door the smell of cigarettes and ac hole came to our noses and then Baba came in with his eyes brows farrowed "Louis what the bloody hell do you think your doing smoking and doing drugs your only 16,and Edward we trusted you that you could take care of our son but looks like you blew it down the fucking drain mate!" Baba explained.
"But Baba,Dad you don't-
I was cut off with Daddy Ni and Papa coming down stairs from all the yelling Baba was doing."What in the world is go-" Papa stopped then smelled the unpleasant odor coming from Edward who was in tears and holding on to my hand tightly.
"Louis why would you even think of doing that!" Dad explained I looked at Daddy Ni to see he was giving me a disappointed look.
"Louis didn't do anything it was me it was all me I was the one smoking and drinking not Louis he came and helped me now would you guy's knock it off and stop yelling at him for something he didn't do!" Edward explained which brought a silents in the house.
I sighed then looked up at Ed and whispered " Do you want me to tell them?" he nodded then held on to my hand tighter."Can you guys just sit down on the couch and I'll explain everything just calm down." They nodded then sat down on the couch as I explained what happened.
"How long does she have?" asked Papa with a worried expression on his face,Edward looked at him with sad eyes and answered "six to eight month's a year is were lucky."
He rubbed the top of my hand with his thumb as a small gustier for thank you.I nodded then looked over at Baba and Dad who looked very upset with themselves."It's ok guy's I know you where trying to be good dads just don't run into assertions" I said with a smile on my face,they smiled back.
"We could pay for the treatment" Daddy Ni said.Edward looked shocked and didn't know how to reply.
"I-Is t-this a jock?" he asked with surprised eyes.My dad's shook there head and had smiles plastered on there faces.
"I'll ask my mum she is a person who never really asked for help ever since she got pregnant at sixteen."
They nodded "Just make sure you ask her soon" Dad explained with a soft smile.Edward smiled back then looked at the telly to see the movie Frozen on "Hey I heard this was supposed to be a pretty funny movie" he explained then looked over at me.
"Then lets watch it" I giggled then looked back at my dads who where already cuddled up next to each other onn the couch.I smiled then I felt I was being lifted "Ed put me down" I explained as he walked over to the love seat.He sat down then put me on his lap and wrapped a blanket around us.
I laid my head on his chest then somehow I quickly fell asleep.
