Chapter 4

Tamra’s POV

I closed the bathroom door behind me. The bathroom was bigger than any bathroom I have ever seen. There was a mirror to my left that hung on the wall above the his and her sinks. The bathroom was a four-piece bathroom with a toilet, a bathtub, a separate shower, and the sinks. The flour was a white tile, the tub and counter tops were a black marble.

I took a few steps into the middle of the bathroom and out of my peripheral vision I saw my reflection in the mirror. I looked horrible, I’m usually not the one who cares about how they look, but damn this was bad. My long blonde hair was frizzy and the hair on top of my head was sticking up on end. My clothes were dirty from all of the running around. Most of my exposed skin had dirt and mud on it, due to my fighting.

I don’t know how these people could still find me attractive, but I guess this look goes to show that I can still be myself and not one of those plastered Barbie dolls, I thought to myself. Hopefully they will still like me and not treat me any different after they find out what I’m all about.

We will be fine Tamra. There are some people out there who can handle the fact that we are the Silver Wolf, and then there are those who only abuse that knowledge, Cady said.

I guess you are right Cady.

Yes, I am. Now go get in the shower because we stink.

I laughed lightly and started stripping out of my dirty clothes. I opened the glass shower door and stepped inside. The hot water felt good on my body. The warmth helped loosen my muscles and it instantly calmed me down about the pack not liking me. I haven’t had a hot shower for six months; hell I haven’t seen this many people in six months.

                   *Flashback*

I was in my private bathroom, in the shower, when the door swung open. I brought my hand up to the glass door to wipe away the water, so I could see the two figures standing in the doorway. It was Donovan and Colleen Turner, my parents.

“What can I do for the both of you?” I asked my parents, my tone emotionless and cold.

“We need to speak with you darling,” said Colleen.

“What about?” I asked. I turned back to the water and continued with my shower. I was well aware that both sets of eyes were on me. It made me shudder at the thought of my father looking at my naked body.

“Get out of the shower now and then we will discuss it,” said Donovan coldly.

Oh great, what did I do now? I asked myself.

I shut off the water, stuck my hand through the crack in the door, reaching for my towel, when Donovan grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the shower. I was now standing in my birthday suit, in the center of my bathroom, in front of my parents.

“You didn’t show up for sparring this evening. Where were you? You know that your sparring is important, all of your training is important,” Donovan was pissed.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that, I thought.

I looked down at the ground, wincing slightly at the pain in my wrist from Donovan’s death grip.

“I went out for a run,” I said quietly.

Stick up for yourself girl. Be the Silver Wolf that we are! Don’t back down, Cady scolded.
