Chapter 5

Colin’s POV

I was confused. How did Raylin’s mom know that the Silver Wolf asked existed? Most people used to refer to it as a fairy tale. But, seeing him Tamra’s arms lit this light inside of me. The look of pure happiness and joy was evident across her face. But, when Cady got mad because I asked Raylin about his coming back for him told me that this was more than someone adopting a child and just being their guardian. Cady felt as if she really was his biological mother and Zeb is feeling as if he is the biological father; Zeb accepted Raylin immediately as his own pup. I can’t blame either of them; I loved this little boy as soon as I saw him. I will never regret that day. I only asked Raylin that because I didn’t want to see Tamra or Cady hurt if his parents came back for him. After hearing my little boy say that his biological mother had died right in front of him made me realize that no one will ever come back for him and I’m okay with that.

I was just standing there, looking form Cady to Raylin. We were still in the meeting house, but there were still some families toward the back benches.

“Ray, Zeb and I would love to be your dad. I have already felt like it anyway,” I gave a little laugh. Raylin smiled and reached for me. I looked at Cady before taking Raylin from her and she let him come to me. “Cady, I only asked that to make sure that you and Tamra would not get hurt. I took this little guy under my wing and he already sunk his puppy paws into my heart. He was already my son before he asked.” I tightened my hold on Raylin. He squeezed his little arms around my neck.

Damn, this little boy is strong! I thought.

Yes, he is. He will be a strong wolf when he shifts, Zeb said back.

“My dear Alpha, there is no need to explain yourself. I knew all of this or did you forget that we have a connection?”

I looked up at the person who spoke and it was Tamra. Cady was pushed back and now Tamra was back. I smiled.

I freed one of my arms form around Raylin and quickly grabbed her arm and pulling her toward us. She put her hands o my chest, got on her tip toes and kissed my lips softly. Her lips were so soft and this kiss ended too quickly.

“Oh, go get a room you two,” said a playful voice from behind me.

“We will later tonight,” I said making my voice sound a little seductive. Tamra blushed as red as a tomato and that had me and Raylin laughing.

“You are already corrupting him, dear Alpha,” Tamra said stepping out of my embrace.

I let out a low growl because I already missed the feel of her in my arms, “You can stop calling me that Tam.”

“Nope, that will be your nickname,” she smiled.

I set Raylin down and turned around to face my little sister who was standing in front of us. I smiled down at her.

“You three make such a cute little family,” she said.

“Tamra, this is my little sister, Sasha; Sasha this is my mate Tamra,” I said introducing the two.
