Cho, Luna and I were sitting at the ravenclaw table waiting for Dumbledore to give us the 'big news'.
"Good evening. Now as most of you know Hogwarts has been selected to host a legendary event... the Tri wizard tournament. Now the Tri wizard tournament brings together 3 schools to compete in 3 extremely dangerous task. Be warned if chosen you stand alone. And believe me when I say these task are not for the faint hearted" professor said. My heart beats faster as I look at Cedric. He was mesmerized by dumbledore's words. I just hoped the fact that he said 'extremely dangerous task' would change his mind... but it didn't look like it.
"Now more of that later. Please welcome the lovely ladies of bauxtons academy of magic and their headmistress madam Maxine" dumbledore announced. The hall filled up with beautiful girls in light blue dresses. All the boys were staring. I am guessing they are all part veela. They did this very girly dance which made me want to vomit. I rolled my eyes as all the boys wolf whistled. I felt a pair of eyes on me and to be honest it was making me very uncomfortable. I searched for the face and my eyes landed upon Cedric's. he smirked at the fact I knew it was him. I tried hiding my blush as he sent me a wink but he could tell.
"And now out friends from the north. The proud brothers of Drumstrag and their high master Igor Kargroff" dumbledore yelled
"Oh hello boys!" Cho smirked
"They are very fit" Luna gasped. I didn't even turn my head, I kept my eyes on Cedric. He raised his eyebrow as to say 'arnt you going to look at the boys?' I smirked and shot him a wink letting him know I could care less.
"Elena look at them!" Cho gasped
"Ohh I see you already see one you like" cho smirked
"And I think his name is Cedric Diggory" Luna chimed in
"Maybe" I smirked. Means Cedric still held out gaze.
"This is getting intense" Luna whispered
"Do you think rakspirts invalided her brain?" Luna asked
"I think Elena has caught the Diggory disease" cho laughed
"No such thing" I said still staring into Cedric's eyes
"If you could see you right now you would think there was such a thing" cho laughed
"I have never seen her like this" Luna said
"Since when does Elena give a guy the time of day?" Luna asked
"Believe me it's a shock to me to Luna" I laughed
"The goblet of fire!" Dumbledore yelled. Taking Cedric's attention away from me and towards the cup with blue flames.
"Simply place your name on a piece of parchment and throw it into the flame by this hour Thursday night. As of this moment... the Tri wizard tournament has begun. Now off to bed pip pip!" He finished. I stood up with cho and Luna and walked out of the hall.
"Hey black!" Someone yelled. I looked in the direction of the voice and saw Cedric leaning against the wall smiling at me.
"Go ahead" Luna smiled
"We will see you later... go! Have fun!" Cho said lightly pushing me forward
"Diggory" I smiled waking up to him
"Care for a walk?" He asked holding out his arm
"Sure" I laughed looping my arm around his.
"So are you really going to enter?" I quietly asked Cedric as we walked towards the black lake.
"Yeah I think so" Cedric smiled
"Oh...cool" I said trying not to sound too disappointed.
"You don't want me to don't you?" He asked
"Not exactly" I said nervously
"Why?" He asked
"Cedric it's dangerous!" I yelled trying to laugh to soften the blow.
"That's the fun of it!" He smirked. I just sighed realizing I was getting no where with this fight.
"It's nice isn't it" Cedric smiled
"What is?" I asked
"This" he smiled lacing our fingers together, making my cheeks flush red.
"Being here with you" he smiled
"Yeah it is nice" I smiled up at him. I looked and saw it was starting to become dark.
"It's getting dark... I probably should be heading back before cho and Luna get worried" I said not wanting to leave.
"Yeah Ernie and James are probably wondering where I am as well." He sighed still not letting go of my hand. The walk back to Ravenclaw was quiet yet peaceful.
"Goodnight Elena" Cedric said leaning down and adding a kiss to my cheek
"Night ced" I blushed.
~Cedric's pov~
"Goodnight Elena" I smiled kissing her cheek. I immediately felt her cheeks heat up, it was adorable.
"Night Ced" she said quietly as I walked away. I walked back to the Hufflepuff common room to see Ernie, James, Jess and jack sitting in the common room.
"There you are ced!" Ernie yelled as I fell onto the couch by James.
"Out" I said
"Hey do you guys know who Elena Black is?" I asked
"Sirius Blacks daughter?" Jess asked
"Yeah dog girl!" James yelled. I wanted to sock him in the mouth for calling Elena that.
"She is hot! But who knows if I piss her off she will call her dad to come murder me" Ernie laughed. Ok that did it
"She's not like that!" I yelled
"What's got your knickers in a twist?" Jess asked
"Oh...oh my god! Were you with Black!" Jake gasped
"Yeah I was. And you know she is brilliant and nothing like everyone thinks" I said standing up
"You like her don't you?" Ernie smirked
"What? No?" I laughed... lie
"Cedric you have never stood up for a girl like this" James laughed.
"Guys! That's why every time we had a comment about her you never once chimed in or laughed!" Jake pointed out
"I do not fancy her" I laughed rolling me eyes
"Yet" Jess winked.
"Whatever I'll see you in the morning" I sighed standing up and walking to my room. How could they think I fancied Elena? I mean sure she is absolutely stunning, she makes my heart beat 3000 miles per second, she is brilliant and smart. But I don't fancy her I just want to be there for her no matter what, make her smile, and make her realize how amazing she is... ok maybe I do fancy her a tiny bit.
