In Love With A Certain Fox (A Tomoe Fanfic)

Chapter Three

•Razzeliah's PoV•

"Tomoe! Let's go out and catch up on things," I smile up at the fox yokai. "Yeah, that would be nice." Tomoe smiles. "Let me go tell Nanami, can you ask Mizuki to watch the shrine?" He asks me. I nod and walk off to find Mizuki. I see him sitting in front of a plum tree that's beside the shrine. "Hey Mizuki, do you mind watching the shrine for a bit while Tomoe and I go out into town?" I ask the snake familiar. He nods at my request. "Hey Razzeliah-chan, quick question. Are you and Tomoe together?" Mizuki asks. I look at him, surprised by that question. "U-Uh no, why?" I stutter. He shrugs. "No reason, you two are just so close, it seemed like it," Mizuki smiles at me. I smile slightly back at him then walk to the shrine entrance where Tomoe is waiting for me. "Ready to go?" Tomoe asks. I nod and begin to walk to town with Tomoe. As we are walking, I feel Tomoe grab my hand and I blush at the sudden gesture. I look over and see a store that catches my eye. "Tomoe lets go in there!" I tug him towards the store. Its a store that sells kimono's. Yes I'm into kimono's as much as Tomoe is. I grab a short black kimono that has white flowers on it and try it on. I look up to see him gaping at me. "What? Do I look bad?" I look down, suddenly feeling self-conscious. "No no no! You look gorgeous," Tomoe tilts my chin up with his finger, smiling. I blush at his comment. "Here I'll buy it for you," Tomoe suggests. "No! I'd feel bad if you did," I pout. He shakes his head. "No its on me, now go change back." Tomoe says in a demanding voice. I sigh and go change back into what I was wearing before. Tomoe pays for the kimono and we exit the store hand-in-hand. "Here lets go eat," Tomoe says and takes me to a small restaurant that's around the corner. We enter and sit down at a table. "So Tomoe, do you like anyone?" I blurt out then I cover my mouth. Tomoe just chuckles. "Yes I do," He responds. I swear I felt my shatter in a thousand pieces right then and there. 'He probably likes Nanami...' I thought. I just fake smile and the waiter walks over to our table. "What would you two like today?" The waiter asks, smiling. We both order the same thing, which is ramen. We talk for a bit more until our food comes then we eat. When we finish I pay for the meal, even though Tomoe had a fit when I did. After leaving the restaurant we end up walking to a park that Tomoe and I used to hang out at when we were younger, well when I was a child, Tomoe is a bit older than me. "Tomoe, remember when you had to save me from the lake because my dumbass self decided it would be nice to take a swim?" I laugh. Tomoe laughs as well, nodding.

~Flashback~

My mother and Mikage thought it would be a good idea for Tomoe and I to go hang out at the park by the shrine. I was holding onto Tomoe's hand because mother told me to or else I would get lost. "Razzeliah, stay here I'm gonna get us something to drink," Tomoe says. I nod and he walks off. I look over and see the beautiful shining lake. 'It wouldn't hurt to take a little swim!' I smile and run towards the lake. I jump in and start laughing and splashing around. I go a bit deeper and deeper to the point my feet aren't touching the ground anymore. That's when I realized I made a mistake of going too far out. I start splashing and screaming out, I start sinking deeper into the water because I can't swim. "Tomoe! Tomoe!" I cry out and I start sinking underwater. I cry out but my cries are muffled because of the water. I hear a muffled splash and then someone grab me and pull me out onto land. I cough out water and start to cry. "Shhh I'm here now its okay," I hear Tomoe's soothing voice and he holds me close. "I-I-I'm s-sorry, you t-told me to stay p-put," I stutter, shivering from the cold. "Its okay Razzeliah, as long as you're safe now and still alive. Just next time, listen to me okay?" He says, covering me up in his kimono. "Y-Yes Tomoe," I sniffle.

~Flashback End~

"And I still can't swim to this day!" I laugh. "Don't try any funny business," Tomoe chuckles. I smile and lean my head on his shoulder. The sun is starting to set and it looks beautiful. The answer that Tomoe gave me in the restaurant is still echoing in my mind. "Hey Tomoe...who do you like?" I ask, my voice soft. Silence. I look up to see Tomoe staring at me. "S-Sorry...I shouldn't have asked," I look down, embarrassed. I felt his finger go under my chin and he tilts my head up so that I'm looking at him. "I like you, Razzeliah." Tomoe murmurs. I swear my face is about 50 shades of red right now. I then feel his lips pressed against mine. I close my eyes and kiss him back. He puts his hands on my waist and pulls me closer. I wrap my arms around his neck. Sooner or later we pull apart, panting. "I like you too, Tomoe." I smile. Tomoe smiles widely and I see his tail start wagging. I laugh at that. "Aww that's adorable," I chuckle. "Would you do me the honor of being mine?" Tomoe asks, holding out his hand. "Of course," I take his hand, smiling. I then pause for a second. "Wait a minute, you're a familiar. I'm a god. We just kissed...so now you're my familiar..." I look over at Tomoe. "I guess I am...you don't have a problem with that do you?" Tomoe asks. "No! No of course not, but you're Nanami's familiar as well and I have my familiar Jaku, what are we gonna do?" I ask worriedly. "You have a point..." Tomoe sighs. "We'll figure something out, it's okay." I smile and peck him lightly on the lips. He smiles and grabs my hand, intertwining his fingers with mine. "Lets go back to the shrine for now, Razz." Tomoe says. I nod and we begin to walk back to the shrine.

So they're together now...I'll destroy that Tomoe. I'll make Razzeliah mine. Tomoe, you're dead.
