In Love With A Certain Fox (A Tomoe Fanfic)

Chapter Two

"Wow..." I stop in my tracks and whirl around to see Tomoe staring at me. I blush and look away. "U-Uh you weren't supposed to see that..." I whisper and cover my face in embarrassment. I feel two hands grasp at mine and pull my hands away from my face. I look up to see Tomoe's face inches away from mine. I swear my face is blood red by now. "Tomoe!!! Can you come here!" I hear Nanami's voice shout out. I hear Tomoe whisper "Damn it," and he takes his hands off of mine. "Sometimes I hate being her familiar," He mumbles and walks towards the shrine. I follow Tomoe inside the shrine and I sit beside Mizuki. "So Mizuki, why are you Nanami's familiar as well?" I look over at the green-eyed man. "Well, after Miss Yonomori disappeared I was so lonely. Sitting outside of the shrine looking at our favorite tree everyday...I decided to venture out of the shrine when I found Nanami-chan, I wrapped myself around her arm and put an engagement mark on her arm. I figured if I married Nanami I wouldn't be lonely anymore. She wouldn't agree so when she was asleep I kissed her and became her familiar," Mizuki explained. "So it wasn't consensual?" I raise an eyebrow at him. "Nonono it was! Well maybe at first it wasn't...but she let me be her familiar afterwards!" Mizuki smiles. I nod in understanding. "Hey Mizuki, turn into a snake," I smile at Mizuki. He looks at me confused then turns into a snake. I pick him up and put him around my neck. I pet his head slowly and I hear footsteps behind me, meaning Tomoe and Nanami must of entered the room. "Razz its time for--Why is that damned snake on you??" Tomoe growls. "Hey its alright I asked him to do this," I smile up at Tomoe and Mizuki nods then sticks his snake tongue out at the fox yokai. "You little..." Tomoe lunges and grabs Mizuki from my neck. I stand up and walk up so I'm face-to-face to Tomoe. "Let go of the snake," I glare at him. Tomoe glares at me back and lets go of Mizuki. He turns back to his physical body form and he pouts at Tomoe. "Tomoe that was mean!" Mizuki whines. Tomoe rolls his eyes. "Come on Razzeliah, bed time," Tomoe grabs my arm and drags me to the room I'm staying in. "Tomoe you're not my mother," I chuckle. "I may not be your mother but I am your friend who cares about your health," Tomoe states. I raise an eyebrow at him. "Tomoe, I'm not a human like Nanami, I'll be fine," I tilt my head at him. "Oh right...sorry I've been living with this human for a while that I've grown accustomed to this," He laughs in embarrassment. "Here I'm gonna put Nanami to bed, I'll be right back," Tomoe says as he leaves the room. I walk over to the pretty large sleeping bag and lay down in it. I stare up at the dark ceiling and sigh in content. As I hear footsteps I close my eyes and pretend I'm asleep. "That was fast..." I hear Tomoe chuckle. I feel the sleeping bag uncover me for a second and I feel a figure beside me before the sleeping bag covers me up again. "She's so cute when she's asleep...shut up Tomoe it could never happen.." I hear him whisper. I feel two arms wrap around me and I snuggle up close to Tomoe's chest. "So adorable.." I hear him chuckle then he kisses my forehead. I feel my face  heating  up and I bury my face into  his chest so I don't  get caught. "Sweet dreams my sweet shadow kamisama~" Tomoe murmurs then falls asleep. Soon enough I allow myself  to succumb  to sleep.

I wake up to find myself still cuddled up to Tomoe. I can hear his soft snores. I smile and snuggle up closer to him. His grip around my waist tightens and he buried his face in my neck. I blush  at the sudden action. 'Just a bit longer of being like this...' I thought and close my eyes and relax.

•Nanami's PoV•

"Tomoe?" I call out, getting no response in return. 'Where is he?' I thought to myself and I begin walking around the shrine trying to find him. He wasn't up this morning to make breakfast, is he okay? I walk into his room and I swear I feel my heart shatter. Tomoe and Razzeliah are cuddled up together, sleeping. He's holding her so close to him...why do I feel so upset over this. I don't like Tomoe!...or do I..."Tomoe!" I shout out. Tomoe's eyes fly open and he flinches, dropping Razzeliah off him, causing her to hit her head on the floor. She opens her eyes, groaning. "Ow Tomoe..." She groans, rubbing her head. I cover my mouth, trying not to laugh. "Oops, sorry Razz, Nanami scared me," Tomoe says and helps Razzeliah up. "Tomoe go make breakfast," I tell him. He gets up and stretches. "Why can't you do it yourself?" Tomoe glares at me. "U-Uh...I can't...I don't know how..." I blush in embarrassment and look down. Tomoe rolls his eyes. "You can't do anything without my help," Tomoe growls and leaves his room. I quickly leave his room and begin my shrine duties. "Is there any way I can help with anything?" I hear Razzeliah's voice behind me. Despite what I saw earlier with her and Tomoe I'll be nice, there's probably nothing going on between them. "No its okay, you're a guest! Just go and relax!" I smile at her. She nods and walks back to the shrine. I stare after her and sigh. 'What does Tomoe see in her?'
