Winter's P.O.V.
"Winter! Hurry the hell up, would you? You and Sean need to get going, or you're going to be late!" Mum called through our new flat.
I sighed, fixing my lilac hair and flower crown one last time. I took a deep breath.
"Here we go..." I muttered.
"Hey, Winnie, let's go." I heard Sean say, opening my bedroom door and looking over to where I sat at my makeup table.
I rolled my eyes fondly at the nickname. I loved Winnie the Pooh, and watched the hell out of it as a child, which earned me the nickname Winnie with my family.
"I'll be out in a second, Sean." I laughed, waving him out of the bathroom.
I looked in the mirror one last time, admiring my outfit.
I had worked especially hard on this outfit, seeing as this is what people would notice first about me.
My lilac hair was slightly wavy, atop it a white flower crown. I think it goes rather well with my blue eyes. I was wearing a black shirt, which was tucked into my galaxy skirt. I loved space, so of course I own this. And to top the outfit off, i was wearing my Disney converse.
I walked out of my bathroom, grabbing my school bag and a jumper in case it got cold. Who knows? It's London.
~
"Okay, we're here." Sean said, fixing his green hair one last time before stepping out of the car.
I climbed out awkwardly behind him, taking a deep breath. Am I ready for this? I don't know anyone here... I'm all alone. My social anxiety will surely get the better of me before I can introduce myself to anyone...
"Winnie? You alright?" Sean's voice snapped me out of my daydream, and I saw him staring at me with a concerned expression, a few feet in front of me.
I nodded. "Yeah. Let's go. We need to grab our time tables."
~
"It's very nice to meet you both, Mr and Miss McLoughlin. If you need any assistance, please come to my office!" The secretary called as me and Sean walked out the door.
"Where's your locker?" I asked, turning to him as we walked.
"I'm number... 486. You?" He examined his time table, frowning.
I looked down. The table was only slightly confusing, and it looked as though my locker was on the second floor.
"I'm locker number 639." I replied, signing internally at the fact that we weren't closer together.
"That sucks arse. What's your first class?" Sean asked, huffing.
I laughed at his expression before replying. "I have English, free period, Maths, Lunch, Science, Music, Gym, art and then I'm free."
Sean nodded before the bell rang. "I'll see you at lunch, 'kay?" He asked, starting to turn around.
I nodded quickly, flashing a quick smile.
"Alright. Bye, Winnie! Love you!" He said, running off.
I took a deep breath. I was scared, now that Sean was gone. I had no one. I didn't know anyone.
I started to walk quickly, breathing fast. I felt like I was going to have a panic attack. There were people all around me, yelling and laughing. How did they do it? How did they communicate so easily.
I guess I wasn't paying enough attention, because the next thing I knew I had fallen on my ass in the middle of the hallway.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" Someone asked, in the most angelic voice I've ever heard.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine. I should be t-the one apologising I ran int-" I looked up then, finally seeing who I ran into.
She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She had light brown hair, tht fell at just below her shoulders. Her face was shaped like a heart almost, and it framed her hair nicely.
And her eyes- oh her eyes! They were a mixture of colours. I couldn't tell if they were hazel, or just green. But you could tell, just by looking at her eyes, that she was a softie, and caring and sweet.
She was wearing the cutest outfit ever. A white blouse-type shirt with blue deer printed all over it. She had paired it with a black skirt, and a sunflower flower crown.
"Hello? Are you okay?" The girl asked, placing a hand with nails painted lilac on my shoulder. I snapped out of it, then.
"O-oh! uh, yeah, I'm okay. I'm sorry for running into you, I was in a rush. I have n-no idea where I'm going I just-" I stopped myself. I have a chance to make a friend here. I can't make an idiot out of myself. I looked at her again and saw she was looking at me with a sort of half-smirk, amusement playing in her gorgeous eyes. "I'm lost. I'm sorry."
She laughed at this, helping me off the ground. "Well, why didn't you just say so? I can help you around. I'm Dodie. Dodie Clark."
