#3: Dancing on the clouds...

(A/N: hello dropping in to say i'm adding a new O.C. chapter! she's a transgender female, and you'll get to know her! she's also copyrighted to me, and i would appreciate it if you didn't take her or anything without permission. that's all, carry on)
Winter's P.O.V.
Part of me now understands the look in Sean's eyes when I talked about Dodie.
He knew her.
And he didn't tell me.
"Oh! Winter! Sean! Yay, you're here! Come on over, guys, and meet the others!" Dodie called over, bouncing over to us.
Fuck. She's so cute.
"Come on, guys. I want you to meet my other friends!" She giggled, grabbing my hand along with Sean's and erupting a volcano of butterflies in my tummy.
She dragged us along the tile towards a table towards the left of the cafeteria.
"Guys! Meet my new friends, Sean and Winter! Winter and Sean, meet my friends." Dodie introduced us with a smile.
"That," She pointed to a boy with dark hair. "Is Dean! And over there," She pointed to a girl with dark brown hair, and amazing makeup. "Is Emma! And finally, over there," She pointed again, this time at someone who I honestly couldn't tell the gender of. "Is Sammy!"
Sammy caught my eyes the most, to be honest. Maybe it's because I couldn't tell their pronouns, maybe not. They had short, electric blue hair, and eyes that looked like a blue/grey.
"I-i'm sorry... It's nice to meet you all and I don't mean to be rude b-but I just want to check... Sammy, what are your pronouns?" I stuttered, blushing fiercely, fearing the worst.
But, Sammy just smiled and giggled. "It's fine, no need to say sorry. I'm really glad you asked, actually. Many people just assume I'm a boy..." They furrowed their brow, and frowned. "I'm actually a trans female, though. I go by she/her, thank you for asking."
I smiled back to her, nodding. These people seemed really nice, I'd definitely hit jackpot (Disgraced_Wolf ) here.

Winter's P.O.V.
The lunch bell rang, signalling that it was time for 5th block.

"I'll talk to you later, guys. Winter, we have 5th together, don't we?" Dodie asked, picking up her bag, turning towards me.

I nodded, smiling back at her. "Yeah. I'll see you guys later!" I said, turning and smiling at all of my new friends. Emma had already left to get to her english class. But Sam and Dean were still there, about to leave for their math class. Sean had left for Gym about 10 minutes ago.

"Bye, Winter! It was nice meeting you! Bye, Dodie!" Sammy called to us as we walked off, Dean waving to us as well.

I waved back, before turning towards Dodie again.

"We should play 20 questions." Dodie said casually, swinging her arms. I lookd at hr, bewildered. Where did that come from?

"O-okay..." I said timidly, walking quietly.

It was funny, the effect she had on me. I'd barely known her for two hours, yet here I was fawning over her and stuttering. She brought a sort of light to the room, and her smile made my world turn over. Her laugh was adorable, and I'd do anything to see it over and over again. She was so nice, and pretty. I may have a small crush on her...

"Yay! I'll go first. Favorite color?" Dodie giggled, sending a plethora of butterfly's through my stomach.

I smiled. That was an easy one. "Pastel purple" I laughed, pointing at my hair. She laughed, too, shrugging.

"Mine is Summer Green." She said finally. "Your turn!"

I paused, thinking about what question to ask. "When's your birthday?"

"April 11. I'm 17. And you?" She answered quickly, glancing at me.

April 11. I'll remember that. It was only a few months away. "Mine is November 4. I'm 17 as well." I smiled.

"Alrighty... sexuality?" Dodie asked casually, as if the question had no weight to it at all. I suppose to her it might now have, but to me....

I stopped dead in my tracks, almost dropping my books. "W-what?"

Dodie stopped as well, turning around to face me. She furrowed her brow at me, and crossed her arms. "What? Do you think there's something wrong with people who don't identify as heterosexual?" She narrowed her eyes at me. "So help me god, Winter... I think you're a very nice girl but I will willingly evicerate you if you have a problem with gay people. I will personally skin you-"

"God! God, no I don't have an issue with gay people!" I stopped her, stepping backward out of fear. For such a tiny girl, she could be really intimidating... (Disgraced_Wolf) "I just... I didn't really expect that question. Last time I talked about someone outside of my family about this... I just...." I felt tears fill my eyes.

Dodie's eyes softened as she watched me unravel. "Hey, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to come off as intimidating... or, I did, but I didn't mean to make you cry. It's okay, I just wanted to make sure you weren't some homophobic asshole. I'm sorry..." Dodie placed her hand on my shoulder comfortingly before pulling me into a hug. I sniffed, hugging her back and trying not to cry.

"Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I'm bi myself." Dodie said, pulling back and looking me in the eyes.

I felt my mood lighten. It was like an entire weight was taken off of it. She wasn't completely hetero! I had a chance! I could feel myself starting to grin like a mad man, no matter how much I tried to make it go away.

"Winter? You okay?" Dodie giggled, snapping me out of my trance. I felt my cheeks grow hot, and I looked to the floor laughing.

"Yeah. Great, actually. And, for the record, I'm lesbian." I finally replied, looking up at her with smiling eyes.

She smiled at me, before nodding her head. "Cool! However, we should get going before the bell rings and we're late. Ready?"

I nodded once, picking my bag back up from where I'd abandoned it on the floor during my mini break down, and walking towards the science classroom with her.

And should I dare say, telling Dodie I was gay... It made my day so much brighter.

this update is a bit late and i apologise for that!!
but i've been kinda busy lately, and i've fallen ill :')))
again, sorry. but i sincerely hope this chapter makes up for it!
we met sam this chapter, our darling mtf girl who takes after my dear son Disgraced_Wolf
btw i totally dragged kiara like three different times this chapter if you didn't notice.
also, i accidentally made a supernatural reference and i realised it while we were on facetime... (@ kiara that's what i was talking about lmao)
anywayyyy i'll try to update again soon, but i had a sort of writers block this chapter
i swear it'll get more interesting soon!
