I V O R Y
I quietly joined the morning groups of other students walking to the bus stop several blocks away. A car honked, and a sleek black convertible with its top off rolled with my steps.
"Mason!" A voice called out from the car and I turned my head. It was Connor Strand, the most popular student at my school, a dimpled smile and beautiful blonde hair. I can't decide either it was a good thing or not to be friends with him. Well, Mason being friends with him. He gave me his famous smile. "Hop in."
"No thanks, Connor," I gave him Mason's famous cold-not-really-cold regard and continued walking. He gave a laugh and continued to trail me with his car. I sighed. I shot him an annoyed look and he popped the shot gun seat open. I rolled my eyes and got in anyway. "Why can't you let me walk to school?"
"Aw, c'mon, man," Connor started to actually drive, passing several squealing girls. I gave an annoyed sigh. I dislike squealing girls, even if I wasn't a female myself. I think it's pointless if you don't just go for it, instead of making useless sounds. "You know that you get more cranky if you walk to school." It was true. More girls surround me, and I find it very bothering. A grunt behind me surprised me, and I turned around.
"Oh," I said, slightly surprised. It was the boy from the supermarket, sitting with his book bag next to him and giving me an eyebrow raise. I rolled my eyes as I remembered the MSG packet and turned to Connor. "Who's this one?"
"He's my cousin," Connor laughed. The sounds of the wind set my mind at ease. I thought back to the Connor's cousin, who had ruffled, black hair and deep coffee colored eyes, then Connor, who had blonde hair. I snorted. "I'm serious!"
"My mom has black hair," Connor's cousin spoke. "My dad has blonde." I could tell he was trying to reach out to me. I decided not to acknowledge it. "I'm Logan, by the way. Logan Page."
"There you go," Connor gripped the steering wheel and narrowly went past an elderly couple.
I sighed, I heard the elderly couple's gasps as we passed through. "You did it again."
"Did what?" Connor's voice had a hint of guilt.
"Connor, seriously," I sat back up and shot him an annoyed glare. "Let me drive if you're not going to do it properly." I shifted slightly to loosen my bind, only so slightly.
"Sorry, sorry," Connor sounded sincerely apologetic.
"Why are you apologizing to him?" Connor's cousin said abruptly.
"Cause Mason gets scary," Connor said, matter-of-factly. I groaned and tapped the outside exterior of the car until we reached the school.

I stared at the front seat through the mirror. Mason, a boy with the tousled, blacker than black hair and square glasses was sleeping in the front. i found him strange. Connor had explained his friends to me beforehand and he explained Mason pretty vaguely. "He's more of a man with a mysterious background. We all know he's got no dad, but he's got a younger brother. We saw him once. He's adorable - looks just like him." I remember Connor laughing and he didn't say much afterwards. He seemed built, but who knows?
I noticed several girls kept following the car specifically, and one or two out of a few were giggling and pointing at Mason. I grinned. If Mason got this much attention by sleeping, then I should get a lot, too.
"Here we are!" Connor parked the car and I got out, slinging my bag over my shoulder. I glanced at Mason, who I thought would be sleeping, but was already up and leaving us behind. He swiftly left the parking area and entered the school. "I bet he has a test soon," Connor mused. He turned to me. "Let's go."
