Unexpected ~ An Ashton Irwin Fan Fic (COMPLETED)

Chapter 10

*Ashton's POV*

"I love Ashton Irwin."

My eyes widened as she pulled away, and spun around in her chair, smiling like an idiot. She loves me?

But wait, the doctor said that she couldn't control or know what she's saying...she doesn't even know that I'm me, though.

"Ashton!" Niall yelled, snapping me out of my trance.

I turned toward him, "yeah?"

"You need to get out there, mate! I'll take Claudia back to the dressing room, but you need to get on stage." He said and I watched as he brought her back to the dressing room, and I walked backstage, where Luke, Mike, and Calum were waiting for me.

"Where were you, Ash?" Michael asked.

"I-I-I was helping Claudia," I stuttered.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" Luke asked.

"Um, she told me that...that she loves me," I said.

"That's great! Don't you love her, too?" Michael asked.

"Well, yes, but...she told me that she loves Ashton. She didn't know who I was, Mike. She's still loopy from the gas..." I explained and ran my fingers through my hair.

"When does it wear off?" Calum asked.

"By the morning."

"Well, then we'll see what happens in the morning. Maybe she'll remember it, and if she doesn't, oh well," Michael said, "but right now, we've got to perform."

I followed them on stage to be greeted by the thousands of screaming fans. I never get tired of this....

*after the concert*

I found Claudia on the floor of the dressing room playing with Lou's daughter, Lux. When she saw me come in, she didn't seem to recognize who I was still, but she wasn't acting somewhat normal, so some of the sedation must've worn off.

She looked really tired, and we all decided to go back to the hotel. She fell asleep in the car, so I carried her all the way up to the hotel room. It wasn't a problem, though, since she's not very heavy.

Once I laid her down on her bed and changed quickly for bed, Claudia spoke up quietly, "Ash?"

"Yeah?" I asked, sitting down next to her.

"My mouth hurts badly," she said sadly, her face showing the pain.

"I'll get you something, okay?" I offered and walked into the kitchen.

The doctor had given us some pain relievers that Claudia was supposed to take every morning and night. I got the bottle, and also the ice cream we had picked up on the way back to the hotel.

I walked back over to Claudia, who smiled as I handed her the ice cream. "Thank you," she said quietly and took the pills.

"You wanna watch a movie?" I asked her, and she nodded and sat down next to me on the couch.

I found some romantic movie on TV, and she cuddled up to me, and I put a blanket over her. I wrapped my arms tightly around her and she relaxed.

"Claudia?"

"Yeah, Ash?"

"I need to ask you something," I said, about to bring up what happened earlier.

She set the ice cream on the coffee table, "okay, what is it?"

I took a deep breath, "today while you were under the influence of the laughing gas, you told me something..."

"Go on.." She said.

"Well, you didn't know who I was, and you told me a secret." I started.

She turned and looked me, her beautiful brown eyes shining under only the light of the TV. "What was it?"

"You said, 'I love Ashton Irwin.'"

Her eyes widened and I felt her tense up, "oh," and her mouth hung open a little bit.

"Yeah..." I trailed off, feeling awkward.

She turned her head back towards the TV, and sighed.

"It's true.." She said after a few minutes of silence.

"What?"

"It's true, Ash..." She repeated and looked up at me.

I froze, I couldn't believe that it was true. She did care for me...what do I say now?

She looked hurt and studied my face, "well say something," she pleaded, her voice cracking a bit.

"I-I love you too, Claudia." I said and she smiled, small tears forming in her eyes.

"Really?" She smiled wider and looked from my lips to my eyes.

I nodded and brought my hands up to her face, and leaned closer to her. My lips lingered over hers for a moment, and I could feel her breathing. She got impatient, and quickly brought her lips to mine, sending shivers down my spine.

Her soft lips moved in perfect sync with mine, and she tangled her fingers in my hair. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I pulled her closer to me.

When she pulled away, I rested my forehead on her's, "Claudia, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked her.

She pulled away and furrowed her eyebrows at me, "no..."

I looked at her confused and she laughed, "I'm just kidding, of course I will, Ashton!" She said and gave me a quick kiss.

She snuggled up to me again and we continued to watch the movie until we both drifted off to sleep...

It's Zayn's birthday! Happy Birthday to our Bradford Bad Boi, DJ Malik :) I can't believe he's already 21 :'( *wipes eyes* they grow up so fast! Anyway I'm done lol :)
