It's new years eve, so time for a crap party that I don't want to go to. Great! As much as I don't wanna go, I might as well make an effort because why not. Usually I go with just my parents, but this year my step brother Daniel is coming, and I think he might be bringing some friends but I don't know. So he'll just go off with them or something probably. But oh well there isn't much I can do.
6pm hit and I shot upstairs to start getting ready. I started applying my makeup first, which didn't take too long as I knew exactly the look I was going for. I then went onto curling my hair, which took quite a while, but it looked really good, if I do say so myself. I got changed into the sparkly playsuit I had got special for new years eve. I was then ready!

Daniel turned up at our house about 8pm as the place we were going opened at 8:30pm. We all drove together and Dani told me how his friends were gonna meet him there. Great, they are coming, so I'll be stuck on my own all night with my parents! We parked outside of the venue and got out of the car. 2 lads were stood by the entrance, and I'm not gonna lie but one of them was super hot! As we got to the doors Daniel started speaking to them and introduced me to his friends Kevin and Devin. Omfg he's daniel's frienddd. "Hey, I'm Kevin but you can call me Kev" said the hot one. " Oh hey I'm Nicola, but you can call me Nic" I laughed. We all entered together and as I went to sit by my parents and Daniel was sitting with his friends, Kev tugged on my arm and told me to come sit with them. "But Dani won't want me there, he can be like that" I replied. "Yeah I know he can, but your sitting with me not him, if he tells you to go" he winked and dragged me to the table. I was sat with Kev and Devin chatting whilst daniel went to the toilet and to get some drinks. He didn't know I was sat there yet, so I guess I'll have to get my own drink, but I'll get one in a bit as I'm not that thirsty.
Daniel came back and the first thing he said was "Why are you here? These are my friends, go sit with mum and dad!" I started to stand up to leave, when Kev butted in and said "No dan she can sit here" in a firm tone, whilst grabbing my waist slightly for me to sit back down. "Kev you don't have to say that, she can go it's fine" Dan replied. Whilst they were arguing I started heading towards the bar to get and drink, and I guess go sit with my parents. I got to the bar and ordered a diet coke. As I went to pay, and hand pushed my hand back and paid for the drink. I turned to see Kev smiling at me. "Kev you didn't have to do that" I said to him. "But why wouldn't I for a beautiful girl like you?" He said in a very cheesy way and I giggled. I got the drink and kev took me back to a 2 seated table and we sat together. I asked him why we weren't sitting with the others and he explained how Daniel was being a prick (as per usual) and he said that if I was sitting there, he wouldn't. God I love this boy already.
An hour or so had past and we had sat getting to know each other better. We chatted about music, school and that, just the usual. He went to get us both a drink but seemed to head to speak to the DJ on the way back. Kev came back and put the drinks down when my fav song 'Thinking out Loud' by Ed Sheeran came on. Kev took my hand and said "may I have this dance" I replied "of course" and we slowed dance to the song, whilst Dani looked annoyed sat on his own as Dev had also found a lady. The song finished and Kev hugged me close, WOW he smells so good!!
We sat back down and in the corner of my eye I was Daniel storming over. "Kev what the f*ck do you think your doing dancing with my step sis like that?!" He practically shouted. "woah hold up dan, since when did you get all protective?!" Replied Kev. I told Dan just mind his own business and go away, so he did. Me and Kev sat chatting again and we got up and danced stupidly to some silly songs.
It got to 23:47, 13 minutes of 2016 left. Everyone was going to the bar to get one more drink in before the end of the year. I went and brought me and Kev and drink and by the time I'd got that it was 23:57 because of how busy the bar was. I sat down with kev for 2 mins and then we all stood up ready to celebrate the incoming new year of 2017. "... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.... *huge cheers*" I looked around and saw all the couples kiss and suddenly a hand wrapped round my waist and pulled me into the best kiss of my life. It was Kev. I finished the kiss and gave him the biggest hug ever and he whispered in my ear "Nic, I've wanted to say this all night but I think I'm in love with you, will you be mine?" I looked him in the eye, still hugging and nodded and our lips met again. Me and Kev went to sit back down and my parents and Daniel came over and said Happy New Year to us, but that wasn't all Daniel had to say of course. "Why were you two kissing?!" He asked. And kev replied "Why not? I saw a beautiful girl so I took my chance, I'd like to tell you that she is now my girlfriend and I'm the happiest man in the world". Daniel stormed off, jelous and kev pecked me on the lips. Turns out the night wasn't as bad as I thought!
