It was about 10:30 when I actually arrived at Cali's home and now it was going on 2 am .
I had met her son and he and I had bonded. I even got him to sleep ! I felt so proud of myself for just accomplishing something like such . By 11 he was sleep anyway ..
I explained to Cali all about Connor and his recent abuse .

" I think you should stay here until we can get you somewhere stable . " she stated staring at me .

I was in so much shock . " You don't mean that Cali "
Her facial expressions proved to me that she was definitely serious ..
" Going back to Connor isn't an option sweetheart " she said .
" Where are your things? " " Or do we need to go shopping to buy you things tomorrow ?" She Stated .

" My Car , I'll go --- "
" I'll get them . Just unlock your door" she said .
I did what she said still in shock as she brought all my belongings in . She took them to a room which I assumed was hers and she placed my things neatly along the wall .

" Thank you Cali . " I Said to her .
" No problem , what you wanna watch on Netflix?" She asked me .

"Oohhh let's watch scandal!!" I said excited .
"Your wish is my command. But , fair warning I haven't seen some seasons yet " Cali said smiling and turning it on .
We watched it and I explained this and that to her about Olivia Pope and Fitz .
• The Next Morning •
I woke up in a bedroom , in the same clothing that I had on last night . I observed my surroundings .  Her room was nice , red and black , nice neat curtains and a photo of her and Jeremiah on the wall . I sat in awe for a moment . I had just met this woman and she was being nice to me . Nicer than anyone had ever been . I got up and checked my purse for my phone. Of course Connor had called and text me saying he was sorry , I wonder how he got out of those cuffs . I wanted to do something nice for Cali , so I think I'm going to make breakfast for the three of us . I heard Spongebob Squarepants playing from the living room and smiled assuming that it was Jeremiah . I walked in the living area to see Jeremiah watching tv and Cali asleep on the couch . I smiled and walked over to Jeremiah talking low .
" Goodmorning handsome , would you like some breakfast ?! " I asked him .
He smiled and shook his head .
" Okay don't wake your mommy just watch spongebob " I said .
I walked in the kitchen and began to make a full course breakfast. I made cheese grits , eggs bacon and some pancakes as well. I fixed Jeremiah's plate and then made Cali plate . I walked into the living room to find Cali sitting up in her sports bra and gym shorts showing her toned body.
" Goodmorning " She said .
" Goodmorning, I --I uh made breakfast " I said .
" Thanks love " she said as she started to eat .

We ate breakfast and did our hygiene . " I'm gonna take Jeremiah to Chuck E Cheeses would you like to join ?" Cali asked me .

" Yes id love that , let's go ! " I stated .

We all got in Cali's car and headed there .
Standing in line was so boring , Jeremiah wanted to play and the line was longer than ever . Finally we got his tokens and found games for us to play with him. I was growing to like Jeremiah already.
Jeremiah was running out of  tokens so I decided to walk to the service desk to get him more .
I was walking to the desk when a little girl  ran past me yelling " You can't get me daddy " the little girl ran into my leg and I helped her up . 
" You okay sweetie ?" I said concerned.
Her dad walked up to me & grabbed her .
I looked up ...

" CONNOR WHAT THE FUCK !! " I said in shock '
