I quickly wipe my tears and gather my things together to get into the car. It's a MUST that I get away from this city and Connor's crazy ways. It makes no sense to me honestly because he cheated, he had a whole family and never gave me any of that. He isolated me from my family and friends!! He doesn't get to be heartbroken, he gets some kind of STD I don't know!

As I walk into the house I notice that Cali is sitting on the couch flipping through channels. I instantly get a little happy seeing that she's still awake. Part of me wonders should I tell her about what just happened with Conner. But, at the same time I wonder what the hell she would do to him. Honestly, she was in shape and she probably could do enough damage.

"Hey baby"

"Hey gorgeous, how was work?" She greeted me with that beautiful ass smile of hers.

"It was okay, I'm going to take a shower so we can get ready for bed."

"Cool"

I took a quick shower and got into bed with Cali on my side. I laid there for a moment and thought to myself about the events that took place with Conner again. Cali was holding me tight and I was in love with that feeling. Her warm body next to mine was like heaven and I couldn't even begin to think of the way to tell her.

As the night grew to an end, I remained awake. I couldn't sleep remincing on the things that Connor and I had been through. Even though the boy had a whole ass baby and family, he was my first love. I don't know what I should do.... I rolled over and looked at Cali and admired her as she slept.
"You gone keep staring at me or you going to talk to me and tell me why you been up all night?"

"I want to move Cal, I want a fresh start I'm sick of running into Connor. I'm sick of the memories and I just don't know what to do."

"Fuck him, listen I'm gone make you forget that fuck boy I promise you baby."
"Okay" was all I could seem to utter out as she buried me with her body and some cover and some kind of way I found myself falling asleep.

I woke up the next morning to a note with an envelope and some roses. I smiled knowing it was the work of Cali.

Good morning beautiful,

Jeremiah is at the daycare until I get out of class here's $500 go and get you something cute or whatever you'd like just to get out of the house. Enjoy your day see you later.

I smiled and got up to do hygiene and leave. I headed out to the mall I decided to buy something special just for Cali, myself and Jeremiah. Walking into the final store I seen this fine ass stud eyeing me. I mean Cali is my girl but, it wouldn't hurt me just to look cause she's looking at me so. I continued to shop for a while and occasionally peeped shorty out.

"Hey what's up, my name is Jordan what's your name?"

"Lauren"

"Well Lauren, it's nice to meet you."

"You as well Jordan"

Her phone beeped and she looked at it and silenced it.

"Lauren, I have a business meeting to get to but here's my card text me if you ever need a friend or if you're single" She said and with that she left.

I paid for my things and I texted the number"

"Lock me in – Lauren" I headed home to prepare myself for dinner for Cali and Jeremiah.

Jordan is not only cute but she could be a great friend hopefully if Cali wasn't the jealous type this could seriously work out.

I knew that I'd have time to make it home before Cali did so I wasn't worried. Pulling up to the yard I seen Cali's car. Puzzled I got out of the car and headed in the house.

I entered the house to find Cali sitting on the floor crying her eyes out. Immediately I dropped the bags and ran over to her...

"What's wrong baby?"

She didn't reply so I repeatedly asked until she uttered out the worst two words ever.

"Bambi died"
