Chapter 30:

Considering it was New Years Eve, we all went out and bought a few cute outfits to wear. The parents decided to stay back at the hotel to rest, due to the fact that they would probably be up and drunk all night.

Nick and Mikey stayed back too. They both ended up going back to sleep, and not waking up in time to go with us.

That wasn't a problem for us though, because spending time with my girls would be the best. Also, that way we'd be able to stay out as much as we wanted and not get nagged about going back, or staying in a store too long.

We walked around PacSun, with our arms full of clothes and cute little accesories.

"I think I could wear this tonight," Alyssa said as she waved around a floral top.

"I swear you have one just like that." I replied.

"I have a lot of floral. But, you can't have too much floral, thats what I say." She stated as she smiled.

I nodded my head, "I guess you're right."

"I really like this, but I feel like they'd have it cheaper at forever 21 or something." Camille sighed as she looked at the light pink dress on the hanger.

"I feel like I saw that at forever 21, actually. But it had a bow on the shoulder rather than just the strap," I stated.

"That sounds cuter," she nodded.

After about half an hour of walking around the store, we ended up paying, then venturing off somewhere else in the mall.

NICKS POV

"I purposely didn't wake you up, you know that right?" Mikey said as he stood up.

"Good, because I didn't wanna go." I replied.

"Yeah, I wanted to just stay here."

I shifted in the bed and grabbed my phone, "I just realized that it's New Years Eve."

"Yeah man. You know what that means? A new years kiss. You know who I'm gonna kiss?" Mikey winked.

"Are you seriously planning to kiss one of Ariana's friends? You literally just met them."

"Yeah, and what? New Years kisses are never frowned upon." He smirked. "You're gonna be Ariana's?"

"Isn't this a bit too soon?" I asked.

"Like I said, New Years kisses are never frowned upon. Imagine her face when I kiss one of her friends, and shes there just standing beside you because you don't have to balls to kiss her."

Once we got back to the hotel, we all ended up taking a nap. We were at the mall for 3 hours, just walking around. We came back to the hotel with minimal bags, which seemed strange considering it was probably one of the best mall we've been to.

Once we woke up, we all rushed to get ready. The washroom was always in constant use. If someone was showering, someone else was in there doing their hair. Luckily, we were all ready before 9:00.

"Can't believe we're actually ready right now," Kiera stated as she brushed out her hair.

"I know." I agreed as I put on the last swipe of mascara.

Alyssa and Camille sat on the bed taking selfies and planning out their entire night, while Kiera and I watched some Disney show on the TV.

-

The parents walked around the room all drunk. It was quite funny to watch them talk nonsense, and stumble over their own feet.

The teenagers all sat by the window and watched the colorful fireworks explode in the sky. Eventually we snuck out and all walked towards the beach. Our parents were all too drunk to notice that we left anyway.

It was even more beautiful to see the fireworks from the beach. The colors reflected on the slowly rippling ocean, and it seemed like the fireworks were right there. That was probably why there were so many couples and families sitting on the beach staring up in awe at the firework display.

Once the fireworks were over, we started walking back to the hotel. We didn’t wanna get in trouble with a drunk parent, which probably wouldn't happen.

It was a great walk back. It wasn’t too cold or too hot. There wasn’t anyone on the street and there was hardly any cars.

"Wasn't that too early for fireworks. I mean, It's only 11:50." Alyssa whispered.

"They probably did it because they'd be too busy kissing someone to put the fireworks up on time." Mikey winked.

“What if they’re all passed out in the suite? What do we do?” Kiera asked.

“We leave them and go back to our own suite.” Alyssa replied unamused.

“Sounds like a plan.” I said.

To our surprise, the parents were sitting on the beds, wacthing the count down.

"30 seconds!" Alyssa screamed as she ran into the room.

We all followed behind her excitedly, jumping up and down as the clock time decreased.

"15!" Camille screamed.

"Oh my gosh, literally the last moments of this year!" I yelled excitedly.

"5... 4... 3... 2..." We all counted down. "1!"

The entire room was filled with the sound of yelling and sound makers. Everyone was jumping up and down and hugging.

I looked around the room for Nick, who was already staring at me. He walked quickly toward me with a big smile on his face before pulling me close.

Our lips met for about 5 seconds before I pulled away and smiled. "Great way to start off the new year?"

"I hoped so," He replied with a big smile.

"Happy New Year, Nick." I screamed, hugging him close.

"Happy New Year," he yelled back.
