Chapter 33:

Once we got back to the hotel, I rushed towards Nick who was walking quickly into his suite. 

"What's wrong? I asked, "Why are you suddenly so grumpy?"

"I told you. I'm eager to get home. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't worry about it." He replied, giving me one of the fakest smiles.

"Nick," I sighed.

"Ariana, I'm okay." He smiled, pulling me into a hug. "Don't worry about me. I'm just eager to get home and get some actual rest."

"But-"

"Just go into your suite, okay? Don't worry about me. I'm fine. Totally fine. Don't even worry. I just have a lot on my mind."

I nodded my head, "Well good night then I guess." 

"Good night Ariana," he whispered as he walked into his suite.

NICKS POV

"Dude, what was up with you during dinner? You were so quiet and unresponsive. Nothing like you.. What's up? Mikey asked as he walked into the room.

I let out a sigh, "I don't know."

"You know," he snapped. "You know why you were so weird."

"Okay, fine. Just.. don't tell Ariana okay?" I whispered.

 "Okay, what is it?" He asked curiously.

"You know Alexa?" I whispered.

He let out a groan, "don't tell me you're thinking of her again."

"Kinda hard not to considering she hit me up today, and she said that she wants to hang out again."

ARIANAS POV

"I don't even know whats up with him," I rolled my eyes. "First he's all like 'oh was the kiss awkward let me kiss you.' Now he's like 'oh don't worry about it okay just go to sleep.' What's his problem?" I ranted as I made big arm movements and a semi loud voice.

"Boys are just really annoying, you know? I feel like they have more period mood swings than actual girls." Camille replied.

"I agree. They're seriously so crazy." Kiera nodded.

Alyssa stayed quiet, twirling her hair around her finger and looking at the ground. 

"Anything to add Alyssa?" Kiera asked.

"No." She said quietly.

"Do you know what's up with Nick?" I asked.

Se hesitated, then looked at the floor, "no."

"Please don't lie," I pleaded.

She let out a deep breath, "Mikey thought that it had something to do wi-"

"Mikey thought? Thought? He's not sure?" Camille interrupted.

"Let her finish!" Kiera yelled.

"Kiera don't interrupt!" Camille yelled louder.

"Guys, Mikey just said that it had to do with some old friend or something." She whispered. "Don't tell either of them that II said this because Mikey told me not to tell anyone... He should've known better considering we talk about everything, but I mean.. Yeah. Just don't okay?"

"What friend? Guy or girl?" I asked.

"I don't know. I really don't." She sighed, "but I don't think you should worry so much because you know Nick. You know Nick better than us! From what I've seen, he's really sweet and he always thinks about you before anything. Maybe he does just have something on his mind, we really won't know until we ask him, right?"
