BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
“This is going to be the longest week of my fucking life..” I mumbled to myself as I searched for my phone to shut off the fucking alarm. I turned myself around to stare at the ceiling and thought about the paper I had due in two days and had yet to start. Finals week, the worst week of my life, and I’d been dealing with it for three years.
I got out of bed and got ready for class. It took all of thirty minutes to be showered, dressed, hair and subtle make up done. It was the first week of December, and it was snowing. On the way there, I went over the calculus problems I’d stayed up going over the night before and other things that I’d cramped into my poor little mind because I’d decided to stay longer than planned at my mom’s for Thanksgiving week, and putting me behind on my studying.
I parked my car, on the far end of the lot and decided to just walk to the lecture hall. There was students sitting at the tables outside of the main cafe building, reading a book and drinking coffee, or just chatting. The snow didn't bother us at all. As I stood outside the hall waiting, I noticed Harry walking towards the building on the opposite side of where I was.
He was wearing a brown, tanish coat with fur on the neck, tight black skinny jeans and his boots. HIs hair was in its usual unruly mess. He was walking with Liam and some other blonde guy I couldn’t recognize. Liam was wearing a checkered blue shirt with a leather jacket that was a bit too short on him. I wondered how the fuck was he not cold. I was wearing long sleeves with a hoodie and my leather jacket on top, and I was still freezing. The other blonde guy was also only wearing black skinnies with a black shirt and a hoodie.
Harry was smiling widely at the blonde, while they pushed each other around and Liam was laughing at them when they slipped and fell to the ground, causing them to become covered in snow. They continued to wrestle around on the snow till Liam yelled at them angrily and told them to stop. They both got up, but continued to elbow each other.
I smiled widely at the sight of Harry smiling so careless and free. I could tell that he was actually happy. I knew that he sort of used his whole face to laugh and smile sometimes, and his dimples were prominent. All three walked into the building at the same time that Emily tapped on my shoulder.
“Hey girly!” She screamed and wrapped me in a hug. She was way too fucking enthusiastic sometimes.
“Yeah, I’m happy to see you too, but please get off me.” I said laughing and pushing her away. She let go of me and looked at me pouting her lips and making her puppy face. I laughed some more and playfully punched her shoulder.
“I’m so tired.” She said yawning, “I stayed up almost all night writing the essay and going over the notes from last week. Are you done with your essay?” She asked walking towards the door.
“Um, yeah. Sure.” I replied walking with her. The stupid paper was probably going to get done tonight and tomorrow morning before class. We sat in the front of the room, and everyone started coming into the room. We had one more lecture before our final exam, and i was not too excited. Once more than two thirds of the class had shown up, the professor began to ask if we had any questions on last weeks notes. He revised every single one of the questions on the practice test, and then offered extra credit. I was only awake for half the lecture. I kept drifting in and out of sleep. Morning classes had never been my favorite, but it was the only time of the day that I could go to math class and actually pay some attention.
He had gone over the actual class time, and by the time we were out, I felt like I desperately needed a drink. I was so done with school this semester.
Emily asked me to go to lunch with her and Jake, I gladly agreed. In the back of my head, I knew all the other assholes would be there. There was never a simple lunch when it was with Emily and Jake.
