Ch. 13

Kat: *sits down in the Slytherin common room* Alright now. Explain.

Jaycee: *light laugh* Well, you heard that I had the best tryout in the Slytherin house. That's not true.

Scorpius: *confused, and says bluntly* Yes it-- *is cut off by Albus slapping his hand over Scorpius's mouth again.*

Kat: *glares daggers at Albus* Let him talk. *turns to Jace* Scorpius obviously thinks it is true. So what is happening?

Albus: *slowly removes his hand from Scorpius's mouth. Suspicious eyes narrowing at Jaycee, who nods*

Kat: *looks back and forth between Albus and Jaycee* Well?

Scorpius: *takes a deep breath* wELL. (format is correct. Lower case 'w' has been placed to show volume)

Jaycee: *groans* You dimwit, if you're going to take that long to say one word, I'll just tell her. *turns to Kat* So, yeah. I did have the best tryout in our house.

Scorpius: *cheers* Yeah she did! *coughs* I mean, continue.

Kat: *tiny bit of hurt expression but it is soon gone* *turns to Jace* Yes PLEASE! SO MUCH SUSPENSE!

Jaycee: I didn't want to-- face you? Hurt you? Heck, I don't even know. But I do know that I guess, I just ready to-- I don't know.

Kat: JACE! W-WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT! You should have been on the team-- Ugh it's all my fault!

Jaycee: *chuckles* That's just it. I am on the team, but I didn't participate in the practice, probably pissing off our coach.

Ari: *She had been sitting on the couch the whole time, not really paying attention, instead growing frustrated with the two girls for not believing her words.*

Kat: I forget, what position do you play Jace?

Jaycee: *shrugs* They said that my skills were well enough that I could be moved to most positions, they just don't know which yet.

Kat: Well seriously, don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I'll survive *mutters* I think.

Ari: *She sniffles and sneezes into the sleeve of her sweater and crossing her arms.*

Kat: Oh hey Ari. I forgot you were here. *laughs*

Ari: *She nods, looking up at them.* Scorpius, Albus, these two don't believe me when I say I'm a Beater for the Hufflepuff team. *She pouts* Do you?

Scorpius and Albus: *eyes widen* Uh- um.

Kat: SEE?!

Jaycee: Yes, because I have eyes.

Kat: *(playfully) punches her*

Ari: *She glares at them, wiping her nose on her sleeve.*

Kat: Either way, I should probably leave *stands up* see you tonight Scorpius?

Scorpius: See you tonight. *smiles and winks*

Kat: Ok, b--

Random Person #394: *screams* T-THERE'S A NIFFLER IN THE COMMON ROOM! (Niffler - British, fluffy black dog with a long snout. They can be very destructive and it is strongly advisable that they shouldn't be kept in a house.(or in this case, a common room) )

Kat: W-What?! *the niffler sniffs around and starts to eat and tear things* Ari!

Ari: *She darts from the couch, just barely getting away from the Niffler's jaws. Her two pets were in the HUfflepuff common room.*

Kat: C'mon! We have to get out of here! Go to the Gryffindor common room! I'll meet you there!

Ari: *She squeaked in surprise and ran off.*

Jaycee: Kat, you go too!

Kat: Why? I can do this! *takes out wand* WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA! *the Niffler rises slowly in the air*

Jaycee: *rips off the charm on her choker necklace* Because flight doesn't kill. *the small charm turned into a frightfully shiny black sword. She swung at the Niffler as she jumped and was about to hit her mark perfectly. Before she could cut through the monster she heard Kat*

Kat: DON'T KILL IT YET! WE HAVE TO STUDY IT!

Jaycee: *falls to the ground landing on her feet, a stray strand of hair that fell out of her ponytail flew down between her eyebrows* What? *the Niffler was about to scuttle away when Jaycee stepped on its tail*

Kat: *says very slowly* S-T-U-D-Y. We might be able to find something out about who's letting the animals out! Do you have an empty cage anywhere?-- *starts bustling around trying to find a cage*

Jaycee: *nods* There's one under my bed. Do not ask why.

Kat: I really don't care right now. *gets cage and puts the Niffler in the cage* There. Now. That will have to wait. Soooooo, do you have another outfit for me for tonight?

Okay. these next two chapters are going to be super short because the... 15th chapter [I think] will be super long [I think]. Wow, I am really indecisive.
