Ch. 16

Jaycee: I want to die. *puts her hand on the side of her head. Pokes at her food*

Kat: And why is that?

Jaycee: *grumbles* I got close to no sleep last night.

Kat: Same here. But probably not for the same reasons as you.

Ari: *She enters the Great Hall in a wheelchair, her stomach was still wrapped and her leg was casted. The bandage on her head had been replaced and covered her eye.*

Scorpius: *eyes widen* Ari-- are you ok? *goes to drink water. He's confused as to why it won't come out*

Ari: *She smiled, wheeling herself over to the table* I'm fine. How are you guys?

Jaycee: *chuckles* You're concerned about us, when your leg is broken.

Ari: Well, I've had enough people worrying about me. I'm tired of all the stares coming from the students. *She gestured with her hand to everywhere around her, pointing out more than a few people watching her make her way over to a place next to Codax.*

Scorpius: *holds his water above his head, still eluded as to why it won't come out, until he looks directly up, it all pours down on his face* *spits out some water*I see--

Jaycee: *laughs* That's some crazy magic, Scorpius.

Kat: Ok guys, we should probably get to class. I have transfiguration with Slytherin first. What about you guys?

Jaycee: *shrugs* Well, considering you just told me. Transfiguration.

Kat: *rolls eyes* Ugh. See you guys later or in my next class. *waves as she leaves the Great Hall*

Jaycee: *narrows eyes at Kat's retreating figure* Something's up. I don't know what. But something. *stands up*

Albus: Jay. Stop, give her time to vent--

Scorpius: *nods* I agree with Al.

Jaycee: Yeah, well I'm too stubborn to listen. *follows after Kat*

Ari: *Rubs her temples* She's going to get into trouble.... Kat's personal business shouldn't be messed with...

~Somewhere with Kat~

Kat: *runs to the Gryffindor common room and sits down to find her cat Cheeto to be sitting on the couch as well* Oh! Cheeto! I haven't seen you in a while. Have you been exploring the castle all this time? *Cheeto purrs* Cool. Hey can you go get Flake for me? In the owlery? *Cheeto jumps off of couch* Thanks. *paces back and forth until the owl comes swooping in* Ah! Ok. *gets out some parchment and starts to write... * Dear Mother, I hope you're well. Is dad still missing? Have you heard anything from him? I haven't, although I figure he doesn't know I'm here. Hogwarts has been amazing! I've met so many new friends! How has life there been? I hope you haven't done anything bad lately. I haven't told anyone about you, not even my best friend, although I figure she suspects something. I'm not going to tell you my friends names just in case you know them and you don't like them or their parents. Please don't hurt anybody Mama. I love you. From, Kat. *says to Flake* Ok. Go take this to Mom.

Jaycee: *looks at the Hogwarts common room door* Um... I don't know! Chocolate Frogs? Lemon Drops! No. Pumpkin Pasties? *sighs then gets excited as the door swings open*

Ari: *She quietly wheels her way towards Jaycee, worried about her friends.*

Jaycee: *mutters as she walks up the steps to the girls' common room* Honestly! Where is she? *takes a quick look outside then continues her steps*
