Omg sorry this update took forever! I had two huge Japanese tests to study for, that and the whole school thing. 😉
The whole squad lives in one huge neighborhood, with the huge mansions, being at the very end, and the normal houses everywhere else.

Eliza rubbed her face. Why did she agree to go sledding when she was in this state? Angie still hadn't told Eliza that Peggy was the reason it happened. Because when Eliza did find out, there would be even more drama. And nobody needed that.
Suddenly Eliza heard Peggy's favorite song, Rather Be, blasting from the kitchen.
A no no no, no place i'd rather be!
"Peggy, turn that down!" Eliza heard Angie yell from her bathroom. Eliza quickly put her hair into a braid and rushed downstairs. Peggy was already there, shoveling cereal into her mouth while at the same time she was trying to put on her boots.
"Peggy, how are you already dressed and ready?" Eliza said, turning to see Angelica bounding down the stairs wearing a pink sweater with light blue jeggings and her hair in a messy bun. With her slippery socks, she jumped and slid all the way to the fridge, spun around and threw her hands into the air.
"Bravo!" Shouted Peggy, while Eliza clapped. Angie took a bow and grabbed an apple.
"Feeling better, E?" Angie asked Eliza, handing her a pear.
Eliza bit into her pear and made the so-so hand motion.
Peggy all of a sudden yelped. "We're going to be late!" She cried, grabbing her gloves, scarf, jacket and hat. She ran into the garage, frantically putting each article of clothing on as she ran. She grabbed a sled and ran down the street to John's house. John and her were walking together down the neighborhood to Laf's house.
Angie and Eliza giggled. "Shall we go?" Angie said, reaching for Eliza's hand.
"But of course, madam." Eliza said in her best "ooh la la" voice. They both giggled and started on their way.
The brisk wind blew John and Peggy's hair around. Peggy dragged her feet along the snow.
"Is something wrong, Peggy?" John asked.
"Um... well, I just feel like Angelica and Eliza like each other way more than they like me. Angelica told Eliza that she loved her more than anything in this life. More than me." Peggy said, brushing the snowflakes off her jacket. Before John could reply, they heard Lafayette and Herc calling them from Laf's yard.
"Mom ami! Over here!" Laf called, waving his hand.
Peggy ran over. John stayed still. Was Peggy okay? He jogged over to where they were. "Hey guys." He said, dropping his sled. Angelica and Eliza arrived soon after. They started sledding, and having a great time.
"Laf! Come sled with me!" Angie called, while hopping on the fastest sled. Laf hopped on, and they went speeding down the hill.
"Peggy, do you want to go over the jump?" John asked, pointing to a snow covered lump in the middle of the hill.
"Okay!" She said nervously. Her sisters always would go over the jump together, but she was always too scared.
Peggy and John sat down on the sled, John in front. Peggy clutched his jacket nervously.
"You ready?" John asked, beginning to lift his feet off the ground.
"Mhmm." Peggy said, wrapping her arms around him.
"1,2,3!" John called, pushing off the hill. The sled flew down the hill. With every second, Peggy gripped John tighter. Soon her knuckles were turning white.
"AHHH!" Peggy screamed. The sled went over the jump. Everything Peggy was scared of instantly went away. She felt like she was flying. Not only flying, but with her most favorite person. The cool wind blew snowflakes in her face as her stomach dropped. The thrill, the excitement, everything, it made her feel fearless. She then saw the ground approaching. No. No. It couldn't end now. She saw Angelica and Laf waving from the bottom. She knew Herc and Eliza were behind her, waiting for their turn on the jump. It all felt like slow motion. She loosened her grasp on John and threw her hands up in the air as they made contact with the ground. Both Peggy and John tumbled off, landing together in clump. Laughing, they helped each other up.
"Wasn't that fun?" John asked, helping Peggy up.
"Amazing." She said, brushing some snow off of John's hood.
"Alright, lovebirds." Angie said, pushing between them. "We're taking a group picture!" She exclaimed, running to the top of the hill.
"Come on, the camera's timed!" Herc yelled.
John and Peggy ran up the hill and took their positions with just seconds remaining. Angie grabbed her phone and looked at the picture.
    "Perfect." She said.
The squad spent the rest of the morning sledding, and then they went inside and watched a movie. Later on they baked brownies and played with Laf's dog. Lastly, they sat under the stars roasting marshmallows at Laf's fire pit. Peggy was snuggled up next to John, her head on his shoulder.
Everyone was laughing. They never felt closer.
"Alright, alright! That's what I'm talking about!" Said John. "Time for some scary stories!" He said.
"Me! Me first!" Angelica said, sliding a marshmallow onto her stick. "There once was a boy who had no eyes, no nose, no mouth, no ears, and no skin. He was made this way by bullies, who killed him and sliced off his face! They threw him in the Hudson, never expecting to see him again!" As Angelica told her story, everyone shivered. It was getting cold. The smoke from the fire swirled through the trees, making art in the starry sky.
Meanwhile, at Alexander's house, his dog was barking out of control. "Alexander, please take the dog out!" Alex's foster mom called from the kitchen. Alex grabbed a leash and started out the door. As he trailed down the neighborhood, he saw smoke coming from a house. Lafayette's house. He jogged over and saw something he never wanted to see. The entire squad was sitting around the fire, laughing and singing, without him!
Without thinking, he yelled, "Have fun, without me! I hope that fire burns down your house!" He said out of anger. He then realized what he said. Horrified, he watched as his friends stopped laughing and looked at him. Angelica started running towards him, but Laf held her back.
"Mon ami, we are sorry! But with the whole Maria thing..." Laf said, struggling to restrain Angie.
"No, it's fine. You obviously don't want me here. I didn't mean what I said, but that doesn't mean I'm not hurt!" Alex yelled, pulling his dog away.
"Let me go!" Angie screamed, finally running free. Laf chased after her.
"Mon Ami, that is not a good idea!" He panicked.
To Alex's surprise, Angie didn't yell at him. "Don't feel bad for yourself after what you did." She said.
Just then Alex saw something disturbing in the background. John's coat had caught on fire, and no one was noticing.
    "Look at me!" Angie snapped.
"No!" Alex said, shoving her to the ground. She landed on her knees and started bleeding. She was about to get up and shove him back, but he started running towards John. "John, John!"
No one but Alex was noticing the fire creeping its way up to John's face. By the time he noticed, it was too late. The sickening sound of sizzling flooded everyone's ears as they rushed for help.
    "Call 911!" Eliza cried.
"Water! We need water!" Herc shouted, running inside.
"John! JOHN!" Peggy was screeching. John fell onto the ground, screaming. Peggy took off her coat and threw it on the fire on John's face. Herc and Laf's exchange mom ran out with two buckets of water. They threw it on John. The fire sizzled out. Alexander finally reached John, with Angelica and Laf not far behind him.
REEEAH! REEEAH! The ambulance was loud in their ears as the paramedics rushed over. John was unconscious, and Peggy was sobbing. John's face was burned. Eliza started to cry, because chaos scared her. Angelica comforted her, tears streaming down her own cheeks.
When John was all loaded into the ambulance, the paramedics asked who was coming to the hospital. John's mom pulled up just then.
"She will." Laf's mom said. John's mom climbed into the ambulance and hugged him.
"And his best friends, to cheer him up." Mrs. Laurens said.
"And who would that be? We have to go quick!" The annoyed paramedic asked.
"Peggy and Alexander." Mrs. Laurens said. She was right. They were John's best friends.
"You guys can visit him later." Laf's mom said to Eliza, Angelica, Hercules and Lafayette.
They nodded and headed inside to get a bandage for Angelica's knees.
The ambulance roared as it drove off with John, Alex, Mrs. Laurens and Peggy.

OOHH SUSPENSE! PLEASE COMMENT SUGGESTIONS YAY! And a lot of people have been asking if there will be Lams, and the answer is no. Sorry, but this focuses mainly on Hamliza and Jeggy. John and Alex are best friends in this so yeah!
