Lucas's POV:

"Thank you" I smile toward Savannah's mom. She has just given me my two year supply of medication. For two years I be good on medication.

"Now remember, keep my daughter happy. Marry her, and I will give you the treatment for free for the rest of your life." I force a smile.

"Yes ma'am" I thank her again and walk out of her office. As soon as I close the door a happy Savannah runs into my arms.

"Hey" she chirps pecking my lips "Lucas I have something to tell you" she bites her lip and grabs my hand. "We have been dating for while and well, I think I'm ready."

"Ready for what?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"You know" she bites her lip "The nasty" she whispers giggling. That just leaves me in shock.

"Savannah I-" she cuts me off.

"Lucas! I'm ready, and I want to do it. Remember what my mom said. You should keep me happy and she will give you the treatment for free."

Right...

"Okay, If your ready" I whisper looking down "But we will discuss this later, I have someone to see right now."

"Who? Is it that Riley girl" She rolls her eyes looking away.

"Yes, do you have a problem with her?" I furrow my eyebrows together and crossing my arms.

"In fact I do. She likes you and I don't appreciate someone liking what's mine" She places her hands on her hips.

"We are just friends" I roll my eyes grabbing her hand.

"Friends?"

"Yes, friends. Now I have to go, I have some serious business I need to take care of."

"Fine" she stands on her toes and tried to kiss my lips but I back away.

"Not right now" I push her back lightly annoyed.

"What's wrong with you today? Your acting strange! Your my boyfriend and I can kiss you whenever I want" She put a scowl on her face and grabs my face to kiss me.

"No, Savannah! Later, I have some serious business to take care of" Like that, I walk away from her.

I walk inside my dorm and the door creeks. I should really put some oil on it. I noticed it's empty and cleaner than usual. I rush to Riley's drawers and make sure none of her things are gone and I sigh in relief that they are still there.

I find a small book looking through one of my drawers. It's a dark green color, and I remember Savannah's mom gave it to me to write in it. I hadn't touched it in years, and the only things I wrote in here is my pain and quotes.

I remember once I was so angry at my dad for being selfish.

A selfish man is a thief

I skipped through the pages and more than half of the book I had written on. I skipped further and at the very last page I find a quote I don't remember writing.

The world is not fair, and often fools, cowards, liars and the selfish hide in high places...

"I....I'm being selfish with Riley..." I tell myself "I'm a coward, and a liar only thinking about myself" I throw the book into the floor and run out of my dorm. I have to find Riley, and tell her how I feel, but before I do that I have to do something first.
