Chapter 1 - It Begins

I'm so excited to see Andrew today, I just can't stop thinking about him since he gave me his number.

"Oh my god, it's almost 7:30 AM, I have to get to see Andrew"

First I have to brush my teeth, then take a shower, then fix my hair and pick out some good clothes.

It was 7:26 and I was at the park waiting for Andrew.

"Hey Julie!"

I turned around as fast as I could to see him calling my name.

"Hi Andrew, listen I need to tell you something."

As soon as I said that his smile vanished.

"Julie, I have to tell you something also."

Bret's POV

"Mom, i'm gonna be at the park, don't wait up!" "Bret! You will be in this house by 5:00 PM, do you hear me?"

Finally, i'm out of this house, time to go skating.

"Hey new kid, over here!"

"Hey, my name is Bret.

"My name is Chandler, can you follow me? I wanna show you something.

"Um sure"

I should have just ignored him. Now i'm in the forest with some guy I just met when I wanted to go to the park.

"Bret, these are my three friends, Kasey, Sean, and Heather, don't mind them, they don't really talk.

"Um Chandler, why are we in the forest?"

"Do you believe in Demons?"

This is just creepy now, I have to get out of here. But how?

"Chandler what's that hanging on the tree?"

"What tree?"

Now is my chance to run away.

"Get back here Bret!"

Julie's POV

"Oh, Andrew you can say what you need to say first, I don't mind"

"No Julie its okay, go ahead"

"Okay, even though I only knew you for half a day, I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me sometime?"

"Oh, i'm so sorry but I can't go on a date with you, I mean it's not because I don't like you or something, it's because I have to leave for Alaska tomorrow"

I just don't know what to say... How do I respond after embarrassing myself, asking him on a date and he leaves tomorrow...

"Oh, well I guess i'll see you before you leave."

Well now my life is trash again, I moved away from my old school with my amazing friends and now a boy I like is moving from me. I just have to stop falling for people at first sight, that should be easy.
