"Harry Styles." I cringe waiting for their reactions. Right now they're all just kind of sitting there with wide eyes.
"What the fuck ? How does he even know you ?" Ashton shouts.
I narrow my eyes at him, "What's that supposed to mean Ashton ? That because I'm just your friend that never made it big like you did it's impossible for me to imagine someone else famous talking to me ?"
"Come on Rosie, you know that's not what I meant," Ashton replies.
"Really because that what it sounds like. I was scared to tell you guys yeah but I thought you'd at least show me some support," I shout back mainly at ashton because the others haven't said a single word yet.
"Rosie-" Ashton begins but he gets interrupted by Calum.
"Man just let her be happy. Rosie, Harry is a great guy and he's really lucky," Calum says looking back at me. I smile and Calum.
"Look Rosie of course I'm happy for you but I' just confused. Like, how did you even meet him ?" Ashton says.
"Well remember that time I surprised you by coming to see you in sydney when you were touring with one direction ?" they all nod so i continue, "well I bumped into Harry backstage and we talked for a bit and he was really nice, then he followed me on twitter and we talked for a bit at the time but nothing really. Then about 6 months ago I uploaded a cover on my channel and posted a link on twitter and he found it and watched it and we started speaking again and yeah," I say smiling.
"So is it anything serious ?" Calum asks.
"No, not at all. It's just nice ya know. I don't know, he's starting filming for dunkirk soon so he'll be super busy and yeah I can't really see it going anywhere, it's not that serious," I say shrugging. I seriously can't see anything coming out of it.
"well were happy if your happy," Luke says and they all nod and smile. I've missed how they are always looking out for me. They're extremely protective, especially ashton, but I know it's just because they care.
"okay, so cut the crap now, why are you guys actually here," i say, I know it's not because they 'miss me'. Why would they come all of the way here and go through this much effort just to say they miss me. They all start looking at each other as to who should say.
They all stand up and walk over to where me and violet are sitting and we look at each other with a face i can only describe as what the fuck.
"we want you to come on tour with us," Ashton says. Are they actually for real. They want to do the thing that made us fall apart.
"Why would you ask me that ? You know how that went last time..."
Flashback 3 years ago
"Ros, will you come here a minute," I hear Ashton call.
"Yep I'm coming !" I say running downstairs to be greeted by my 5 best friends all sitting on the couch.
I stop in my tracks as this all looks way too formal and it's starting to worry me.
"What's going on ?" I ask as I sit down on the other couch.
"We need to tell you something and we don't know how you will react," Michael says and he looks nervous. Michael never looks nervous.
"just tell me, the suspense is killing me !" I half laugh.
"were going on tour with one direction all over the world-" Calum confesses.
"You guys !! That's amazing I'm so happy for you !!" I say running over to hug them. I am genuinely happy for them. I know that this is everything they ever wanted. Wait that means they're leaving and I won't see them for ages. "How long will you be gone for ?" I ask trying to squeeze out some enthusiasm.
"Well the tour lasts 9 months but we want you to come too !!" Luke says excitedly.
"Really ?!" I say as my eyes widen.
"yeah of course, we would miss you way too much !!" Calum says as he pulls me into a hug.
one month later
we arrive at the airport as today is the day to leave for the tour. You'd think I would be excited but unfortunately I'm terrified because I have to tell them something.
"ok here's our gate are you guys ready for the best experience of our life so far ?!" Luke shouts.
"Come on then lets go," Ashton says and they all start walking to the gate and I stay where I'm stood.
"Rosie come on, we need to get on the plane," Calum says reaching for my hand.
I swallow hard and take a deep breath, "You guys, I'm not coming with you," I squeak out.
"Very funny Rosie, no come on lets go," Michael says motioning for us to all go.
"You guys I'm not joking," I say tears start to form in my eyes, I look up at them to see their sad and shocked faces as they realise that I'm really not joking, "look guys, Im so happy for you and I want you to have the best time ever, but I can't come with you,"
"Rosie yes you are don't say that," Ashton says.
"No, not I'm not," I say as I shake my head slightly and step back, "This is your chance and your dream, and It's not for me to interrupt. I will come and see you at some point and we will talk a lot. I love you guys, good luck," I say as I walk away from the terminal gate and begin to break down crying.
"Rosie !" I hear them all say my name but I keep walking. This is their shot not mine.
Back to normal time
"no not like that," ashton says shaking his head, "we want you and your band to be our support act,"
