Amanda's POV
AHHHH I'm late! I'm so late for lessons!
My alarm has failed me and I only have 30 minutes to make it in time for boxing classes. I spend the whole night finishing my assignments and I'm so dead tired.
But that's not an excuse to miss boxing right!
I quickly threw on a blue sports bra, with a loose black top and a pair of black leggings. Thank god I packed my gym bag the day before.
"Honey? Are you heading out?" Mum's head peaked out from her bedroom
Oh shit I woke mum up
"Ye-yeah. For boxing lesson. I'll be back for lunch!" I waved back.
"Stay safe alright?" She yawned.
"I will!" I quickly tied my shoelace and ran out of the house.
Usually, I would have 15 minutes to talk a slow jog to the mall but this time, I'm running at full speed to the mall.
I gave up waiting for the lift and ran seven stories up the escalator. Not a good experience.
10.05am. I'm so damn late.
Five minutes makes a shit load of difference to me. If I was still in the beginner class I would have been safe but now, I'm learning under a personal trainer and he is bloody strict.
When I saw the new batch of newbies in the beginner class lining up, I knew my time was up.
"AMANDA WHY THE HELL WERE YOU LATE!" Jack's voice boomed across the gym. All eyes were on me.
"AHHH I'M SO SORRY THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN SIR!" I quickly tied my hair up, took off my top and ran to my practice area.
"Damn that girl got a figure." One of the guy from the beginner class catcalled. This is why girls feel uncomfortable showing their body, because of people like him exist.
"Hey you! If you got the time to catcall why not focus your eyes on me! I bet that lady over there can knock you out if you don't listen well."
I was in the middle of putting on my gloves when I decided to turn back and take a look at the poor dude that got scolded.
Wrong move.
I should have abort mission right at that moment.
Those blue eyes god damn it.
Shaun is there.
Shaun is in the class.
Shaun is looking at me.
Since when did he join?!
"Amanda, are you done?" Jack snapped me back to reality.
"Yes, Sir."
TIME SKIP
Class ended around 11.15am. Jack gave me reprimand me once more before leaving me to wash up. Jack's a really good instructor and always giving me the best guidance without over exerting my body, but he's very strict on time. Today was totally my fault, though.
I packed up my gear and went to the toilet to wash out all the sweat and dirt. Gosh, the cold water feels so good~
Just finished gym! Coming home soon!
Now I just need to press sen-
"Hi. May I know if I can take the same difficulty as this lady has signed up for?" Shaun grabbed my arm and held me close beside him, while the lady at the counter, Marian was eyeing the both of us.
Nope, no way Marian, don't you dare think it another way. I barely know him. Stop that weird stare. Stop it.
"Erm... I don't think so-"
"What's going on?" Jack and Lucy, the in-charge of the beginner class asked.
"This young man asked if he could join Mr Jack's class."
"And you are?"
"I'm Shaun, sir. And I would like to join your class."
"And how are you related to Amanda?"
"We-"
"She's my newly made friend. I just moved over." Shaun gave his trademark smile.
Two down, one standing aka Jack.
"What makes you think you are fit to be in my class?" Jack crossed his arms over his chest.
"No offence to you Ms Lucy but the beginner class are too easy. I took boxing at my previous gym so I would like to have classes with more difficulty. Like Amanda's."
No no no. Please no. Jack, come on you are the best don't do this to me.
I tried sending my message to Jack through telepathy but guess what
"Fine, you can come for my lesson for one hour. Together with Amanda. But once, I feel that you are not up to standard, you go back to Lucy's class. Understood?"
"No problem sir. Thank you for giving me this chance." Shaun bowed a little and left the gym, of course with me being dragged along.
I smell something hot, like the guy that was holding SOOOO close to you. Fill in the details please! – Marian
