Chapter 5 (The perfect end, to a perfect day)

I feel so bad right now. Clarissa was just trying to be nice and I'm acting like an ungrateful friend. Sigh. I should do something to make it up to her.

But wait.....I wonder if she loves me or wants to be with me after that kiss. Maybe I'm way in over my head. I don't know what the hell to do.

And to make matters worst, this car just has an akaward silence just floating around. I should probably say something, but she may not want to talk to me.

I guess I wouldn't know if I don't try.

I was so focused on driving, not even bothering about my surroundings, that I completely forgot that Justin was in the car right next to me.

Or was it because I was still somewhat mad by the way he previously behaved. I don't know what to do about him right now, and then that kiss.What's he gonna do nex---

"So....where are we heading to?" Justin questioned, disattracting me out of my thoughts.

I thought  for a moment and then responded

. "If you don't know how am I suppose to know the answer to that question?" I answered his question with a question.

However, not in a rude way, but a sly, joking way. I glanced to my left to see what his reaction was like.

And in that split second, it was like I could read him though his eyes.

They were filled with confusion, happiness, joy, but yet curiosity. I giggled seeing this. "Don't worry. We're almost there." I reassured him.

"But believe me. It's something that you've been wanting to do for the longest while of your life. And I'm just trying to be a good friend and make sure that you have an awesome birthday!" I ended with a smile.

He smiled back and without saying another word, he turned his head back out the window.

I could've also felt that tense feeling, drift out the vehicle; leaving us in a relaxed and back to normal state I guess you can say.

We were five minutes away from our destination.

But because it was a surprise, Justin had no clue.

I pulled over into the shoulder lane and stopped the car.

Justin looked at me in confusion, " Why did we stop in the middle of the highway? I don't believe that I've ever waited my entire life to park up on the highway before!"

"You'll always have that humor inside you, ehh?" I laughed " No goof ball. I don't want you to see where we're going. We're extremely near but I don't want to see. So just put this on mister?" I smiled handing him a blindfold.

He watched me and returned the smile, while taking the blindfold and doing as told.

When he was done, I put my hands on the wheel and asked him "How many fingers do I have up?" His respond was hilarious "Three fingers and one thumb...I don't know! I'm just seeing pink flowers from this blindfold you gave me." he laughed.
