Gavin's mom took him to school the next day. He was going to 7th grade. How and who would he tell the secret to? The bell rang a short while after. He did not want to be late so he ran. His backpack jingled as he ran. He got in at the nick of time.
"Hello, I'm Mrs. Gunsan your new teacher. Ready for the new year?" Mrs. Gunsan said.
"Kind of." The class replied.
"So I want to know you guys, your name, hobbies, fav. food, and ect." She told them.
Gavin noticed that his teacher was one of his mom's friends that arrived at the meeting of theirs. "It was going to be a tough year." He thought.
"So when I call your name raise your hand, that way I can see who you are." She told the class. "Okay, Reiman where are you?" A kid with blond hair raised his hand. He had chocolate brown eyes and he was wearing a red polo. After she called the whole list it was time for the library.
"This is perfect." Gavin thought. When they got there they coral read "The Journeys of Leonardo." After that Gavin searched up Mythical Creatures surely he would find something. But he did not. He thought hard and got an idea. He searched up Mermaids. He found a book that said "50 facts about Mermaids." Then Mrs. Gunsan came up to him. "Why do you have a sudden interest in mermaids, Gavin?" She asked suspiciously.
"Well I have a friend but she is home schooled. She usually does not go to a library. So I thought I could give her the book." Most of what Gavin said was true but he would also read it.
"It is nice of you to give her the book." She said with less suspicion.
Gavin searched up "Pirates of the Caribbean" so that Mrs. Gunsun would leave.
In the next hours was going home. The day felt like it was going his way.
