Over two years later:
Ethan and I were cuddled up on the couch with our beautiful daughter, Elizabeth. She was in the middle and Ethan had his arm around my shoulders over her head. We named her after the kind woman that influenced the decision of keeping the baby. It was her second birthday and it was the night of a small family party after everyone left. Ethan and I used to live with his parents after I got kicked out for being pregnant, but we just recently bought a small two bedroom apartment. Grayson lived just down the hall and he would always help, and trust me we needed it. Ethan and I weren't married yet, but I was wearing the promise ring Ethan gave me every day, promising my eternal love for him.
We were watching her favorite movie, finding Nemo as she clutched the Nemo and dory stuffies we had bought her over time.
"I love you girls. I wouldn't want to live any other way." Ethan said squeezing my shoulder. I looked over at him and he had tears in his eyes. This quickly began to make my eyes water. "Marry me." He said softly. Elizabeth continued to watch her movie, and I felt more tears stream down my face.
"You had me from the start." I whispered back. He leaned in and kissed me over Elizabeth's head.
"Mommy and daddy are gonna be the king and queen!" Elizabeth exclaimed with an adorable smile on her face. We pulled apart and chuckled.
"And you, are daddy's little princess." Ethan said standing up to hold her over his head. She giggled nonstop as Ethan playfully roared. A smile spread across my face slowly watching my two favorite people in the world.
They are my life. This is my life. And I wouldn't want it any other way.
